Race 1: KILCOY EXCHANGE HOTEL Maiden Plate 1900 metres
 
DEJAKKAL – Bumped on several occasions in the middle stages.
 
TYCOON MCKINNEY – Near the 1500m was steadied from the heels of DEJAKKAL which shifted in. Apprentice A Patis was advised to exercise care in similar circumstances. Laid out under pressure over the final stages.
 
OCTOBER JOY - Bumped on several occasions in the middle stages.
 
SORRELLA TRAMONTO– Injured in float on route to course. Declared a late scratching at 11:02am. Trainer P Cartledge was notified the she will be required to provide a Veterinary Clearance prior to the horse racing or trialing again.
 
Race 2: SOMERSET REGIONAL COUNCIL Maiden Handicap 1500 metres
 
SERRENA'S KINGDOM – Rider A Fancourt reported that after beginning moderately from the wide barrier failed to must early speed and settled further back than anticipated.
 
BARBICAN – Over raced in the early stages.
 
JIMMY NEUTRON – Trainer J Dunn was fined $100 under the provisions of LR67 for failing to declare a rider by the prescribed time. Made the home turn wide. Rider R Palmer reported that the gelding did not suit the tight turning track.
 
BRACKEN – Began awkwardly. Approaching the 400m was steadied and shifted wider when it improved onto the heels of the weakening CHALET GRAND. Held up for clear running approaching the 200m until shifting to the inside of REDENZO BULLET to secure clear running.
 
CHALET GRAND – Near the 1250m, made the crossing awkwardly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the mare had sustained lacerations to its hind legs which would be consistent with it being galloped on. Trainer J Zielke was notified the he will be required to provide a Veterinary Clearance prior to the horse racing or trialing again.
 
KRAKAN COVE – Buffeted between runners shortly after the start. Approaching the 500m inconvenienced momentarily by BRACKEN which shifted out. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormal findings.
 
VANDERWINK – Tightened for room shortly after the start. Near the 1250m, made the crossing awkwardly.
 
BISHOJO – Began awkwardly. When questioned in relation to the seemingly improve performance Trainer M Patterson stated that today it was the mare’s second start for the stable and at its most recent start at Toowoomba was severely inconvenienced by a fallen runner and wasn’t surprised with today’s forward showing.
 
TAKEMEOUTBACK – Held up from the 400m until entering the home straight.
 
Race 3: TAB QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1060 metres
 
PRINCE OF DIAMONDS – Fractious in the barrier prior to the start. Began very awkwardly and shifted out and shortly after shifted wider to avoid the fallen rider.
 
SONIC ARROW – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
SASANQUAS – Began awkwardly. Rounding the home turn was forced wider by SMALL REWARD. Approaching the winning post was steadied from the heels of SMALL REWARD.
 
SMALL REWARD – Rounding the home turn was bumped and forced wider by ZOU ZOU KACANARKIS. Approaching the winning post was steadied when awkwardly placed at the heels  ZOU ZOU KACANARKIS.
 
THAT'LL BE THE DAY – Approaching the 800m when over racing was steadied when awkwardly placed at the heels of FAV’S FLYER.
 
ZOU ZOU KACANARKIS – Momentarily held up approaching the home turn. Hung out rounding the home turn and made contact with SMALL REWARD.
 
CRAIGLEA COURTNEY – Commenced to buck shortly after the start dislodging its rider. Rider A Spinks was assessed by QAS and transported to hospital. Rider replacements were made as per the Stewards Race Day Summary. Trainer K Johnston was advised that the filly will be required to officially trial on two occasions to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to the horse racing again.
 
Race 4: SEARLES GARDEN PRODUCTS BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 1900 metres
 
 
STRYKING EMERALD – Rounding the home turn was tightened for room between AIRLEE MAN which shifted in marginally and MOSS GO NOW which shifted out marginally. Rider J Taylor (MOSS GO NOW) was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
 
BRUMBY JACK – Approaching the 400m was steadied when awkwardly placed at the heels of ASTRAL  KNIGHT.
 
LAMMA HILTON – Slow to begin.
 
CRAIGLEA SIMMO – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
HOSTILE STAR – Rider A Allen reported that the mare hung out throughout. Raced keen in the early stages.
 
AIRLIE MAN – Stewards acceded to the request of Trainer S Pedron to permit the gelding to race without its hind plates after proving difficult to be reshod in the tie up stalls prior to racing. Laid out approaching the 600m and had to be steadied.
 
LEGS UNBARRED – Began awkwardly.
 
ASTRAL KNIGHT – Slow to begin.
 
Race 5: BUTLER MCDERMOTT LAWYERS BENCHMARK 62 Handicap 1060 metres
 
DRIFTER – Raced three wide without cover throughout. Performed below market expectation.  Apprentice N Fazackerly reported the gelding in his opinion did not handle to heavy weight impost in today’s event. He added that the gelding was returning from a spell and would benefit from today’s run. Stewards noted the explanation.
 
HEART OF KINGS – Raced three wide throughout. Rider H Phillips reported that the gelding hung in throughout.
 
BOSS'S BOY – Shortly after the start was tightened for room between DRIFTER and LET’S GO BOBBY.
 
DREAMALINA –  After passing the winning post was inconvenienced by MITHU which shifted in. Rider M. Hellyer (MITHU) was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
 
 
Race 6: SPRING INTO SPRING AT KILCOY BENCHMARK 62 Handicap 1060 metres
 
SWAN ISLAND – Near the 700m when the pace slackened improved onto heels and had to be steadied.
 
TOUJOURS L'AMOUR – Fractious in the enclosure and made contact with the rail. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed suitable to race.

HOLLYDEEN - Fractious in the enclosure and made contact with the rail. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed suitable to race. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare identified it to be lame in the off foreleg. Trainer S Cole was advised that he will be required to provide a Veterinary Clearance prior to the horse racing or trialing again.
 
OUR ARIANA – Slow to begin. Performed below market expectation. Rider T. Marshall advised that after the mare was slow to begin failed to muster early speed and settled further back than anticipated. Trainer D Forster could offer tangible explanation for the disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare did not reveal any abnormal findings. Trainer D Forster has since reported that the mare has bruising to its near side eye.
 
BLOOMING LILY - Near the 700m when the pace slackened improved onto heels and had to be steadied. Apprentice S Tomlinson was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(i) for using his whip on 3 consecutive occasions prior to the 100m.
 
MORION – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 7: AHEEN STUD Class 5 Handicap 1200 metres
 
Correct weight was delayed when the fourth placegetter, Trainer S  McKinnon and Apprentice S Tomlinson (ZOFF ‘N’ OFF) requested to view the patrol films to ascertain whether there was sufficient grounds to lodge a protest against the third place getter, SECRET SPIRIT (Jockey B Stewart). After viewing the films, trainer S McKinnon and Apprentice S Tomlinson advised that they did not wish to proceed with the protest.
 
BEST GUESS – Began awkwardly.
 
MUSIC AWARD – Bounded at the start.  Raced keen in the middle stages. Approaching the 200m the saddle shifted to the nearside, placing its rider at a serve disadvantage and was unable to be tested.
 
ZOFF 'N' OFF – Raced keen in the early and middle stages. Momentarily held up approaching the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had sustained lacerations to its off-hind leg which would be consistent with it being galloped on. Trainer S McKinnon was notified the he will be required to provide a Veterinary Clearance prior to the horse racing or trialling again.
 
VENI VIDI VICI – Began awkwardly.
 
MIGHTY MOOSE – Over the concluding stages had difficulties securing clear running and was unable to be fully tested.
 
LWAZI – Buffeted at the start.
 
Race 8: CLEAR MOUNTAIN FAIRVIEW STUD BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 1500 metres
 
SUPERVISOR – Approaching the 100m was momentarily steadied with placed in restricted room between DER SIEGER which shifted in abruptly and THE KNIGHT which shifted out marginally.
 
SAN PIERRE – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
THE KNIGHT – Shifted out at the start. Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
DER SIEGER – Raced greenly in the home straight.
 
MODERN FAMILY – Began awkwardly and shifted out. Near the 1250m made the crossing awkwardly.
 
QUEEN OF THE NIGHT – Tightened between runners and lost ground at the start. Over raced in the early stages. Near the 1250m made the crossing awkwardly.
 
MONT MONT – Tightened between runners and lost ground. Raced keen in the early and middle stages.
 
Race 9: 29TH NOVEMBER KILCOY CHRISTMAS CUP CARNIVAL Class 1 Handicap 1200 metres
 
BLACKJACK ROSE – Fractious in the preliminary and contacted the front of the barriers. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed suitable to race. Performed below market expectation. Rider J Orman advised that the mare did not travel throughout and could offer no other explanation for the disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare identified it to be lame in the nearside hind leg. Co-Trainer M Sears was notified the she will be required to provide a Veterinary Clearance prior to the horse racing or trialling again.
 
STATEMENT OF FAITH – Trainer L McCormick was fined $100 under the provisions of LR67 for failing to declare a rider by the prescribed time. Leaving the 100m laid in under pressure, across the heels of CURRY CONNECTION and had to be steadied.
 
BULLTRUCK – Slow to begin. Near the 1000m was steadied when improved onto heels of CANDY FLOSS.

ELYSIA – Near the 900m was steadied when racing in restricted room to the inside of STATEMENT OF FAITH.
 
CANDY FLOSS – Rider B Stewart returned to scale in excess of 1/2kg overweight and was fined the sum of $300 under AR 211.
