RAIL – TRUE OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – T HudsonStewards – D Aurisch, T North & M WinwoodClerk of Scales – C Fedrick Judge – M MahwhinneyVeterinarian – Dr T Raeburn Swab Attendants – L ChaplinStarter – R Hanson GENERAL Due to the postponement of the Murwillumbah race meeting, Kilcoy was rescheduled to start at the following times: R1 – 12:00pmR2 – 12:35pmR3 – 1:10pmR4 – 1:45pmR5 - 2:25pm R6 - 3:05pm R7 – 3:40pmR8 – 4:15pm As L Tilley was indisposed, replacements were made as per raceday summary. Race 1: SALUTE THE VETERANS KILCOY SUNDAY 8 AUGUST MDN PLT – 1050M GOGOL – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after having started in excess of twelve months and was passed suitable to start. BEFORE AND AFTER – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Made the turn near the 800m awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near hind. Trainer L White was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the gelding being permitted to race again. FOUND THE MARK – Bumped on jumping. KICK HI – Slow to begin. Hung in when placed under pressure in the home straight. SHE'S UNIQUE – Inconvenienced shortly after the start. Made the turn near the 800m awkwardly. DOMESDAY DANCER – Rider N Thomas advised that the gelding hung out throughout resulting in him being unable to place the gelding under full pressure at any stage. Trainer D Jones was advised that the gelding must officially barrier trial prior to racing to prove its racing manners. After this race and a substantial downpour, stewards elected to indefinitely delay the starting of race 2 to enable the weather to pass. Stewards and a delegation of senior riders inspected the track and deemed it suitable to race. All races were put back one timeslot with the last race to jump at 4:45pm and downgraded the track to a Heavy 8 retrospectively. Race 2: BUTLER MCDERMOTT LAWYERS BM58 HCP – 2470M PUCKISH – Slow to begin. GO MILLO – Performed below market expectations. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. SID - Steadied near the 1200m when crossed by POWERS LOOKOUT. SAMHAIN – Raced keenly when being restrained in the early stages. WINDUPGIRL – Slow to begin (2L). Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Rider V Venkaya reported that his mount failed to handle the prevailing track conditions. POWERS LOOKOUT – Raced wide and without cover before obtaining position outside the leader near the 1200m. After running of Race 2 and continuing rain, stewards and a delegation of senior riders inspected the track and deemed it unsuitable to continue racing.
