RACE 1:  CLASS B HDCP 900 Metres
 
The start of this event was delayed approx.10 minutes to allow for the arrival of the race-day Vet who had been called to attend an emergency situation.
 
CASH’S REJECT – raced wide for majority of the event.
 
IN TAIWAN – began awkwardly and shifted out at the start, tightening runners to the outside.  Unable to obtain clear running over the concluding stages of the event.
 
MOLLARA – tightened at the start.  Checked at the 800 metres when another runner shifted in.
 
STARNIE – raced wide in the early and middle stages of the event.
 
CRAIGLEA BARINA – raced wide throughout.
 
BY CONCENT – tightened at the start.  Checked at the 800 metres when another runner shifted in.
 
GIRLS SAY – tightened at the start between runners.
 
IMPUESTO – as no other rider was available, G Geran was permitted to ride the mare 2kg over weight its allocated weight. A public announcement was made to this effect.  Jumped in at the start and hampered runners to the inside.  Near the 800 metres hung in despite the efforts of its rider and checked GIRLS SAY and BY CONCENT.
 
 
RACE 2:  MAIDEN PLATE 1000 Metres
 
AIR TO SPARE – jumped out at the start and hampered another runner.
CRAIGLEA CHAMP – made the home turn wide on the track.
THE EQUINE BOLT – slow to begin. Leaving the 600 metres, raced greenly and improved onto heels then shifted out abruptly forcing SAYKRID LADY to be hampered and taken wider on the track.
CHURCHILL DAWN – bumped at the start when another runner jumped outwards.
THE SPIRIT OF JAZZ – began awkwardly.
SAYKRID LADY – hampered and taken wider by another runner at the 600 metres.  A short distance later, the saddle shifted to the near-side placing its rider at a disadvantage for the remainder of the event.
 
RACE 3:  BENCHMARK 60 HDCP 1000 Metres
AMBER ALE – raced wide throughout.
 
CRAIGLEA AMITY – slow to begin.
 
 
 
RACE 4: CLASS 1 HDCP 1200 Metres
 
GOLD SEARCH – Shifted off fore plate in race day tie up stall and was re-plated. Raced wide in the early and middle stages of the event.
 
MADAM AUBERGE – slow to begin.
 
DIVA MISS – slow to begin.
 
LADY WIVENHOE – raced wide for the majority.  Shifted out and made the home turn awkwardly.
 
 
 
RACE 5: OPEN HDCP CUP 1200 Metres
 
CHARGE MISSILE – raced wide in the early stages of the event.
 
WINNER WIMMER – when questioned regarding the disappointing performance app H English stated the gelding travelled comfortably just off the speed in the early and middle stages of the event, however when placed under pressure in the home straight, did not respond to her riding, and in her opinion was disappointing. Trainer P Sexton was of the opinion WINNER WIMMER is better suited to races over a longer distance.  A post race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
