Race 1: THE LONGREACH LEADER BM 60 HANDICAP - 1000 metres
 
There was a slight delay to the start of race one as time was permitted for trainer R. Frazer to arrive on course after vehicle trouble on the way to the track.
 
HUGHIE AND ME – Contacted ALPINE GOLD shortly after the start.
 
ALPINE GOLD – Contacted HUGHIE AND ME shortly after the start, then travelled wide for the majority of the event.
 
STYLISH SON – One side of the gates bounced back causing the gelding to be slow away.
 
SISTER WHISKEY – Travelled wide in the middle and late stages of the race.
 
Race 2: RINGROSE BUTTON CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS RATINGS BAND 0-50 HANDICAP - 1100 metres 
 
FINNIGAN’S FOLLY – Contacted at the start by an outside runner.
 
HEY – MURRI – Slow to muster speed.
 
PERFECT YANK – Jumped away awkwardly contacting an inside runner, then travelled wide throughout.
 
Race 3: SAUNDERS ELECTRICS CONTRACTING CLASS 6 PLATE - 1200 metres  
 
WICKED WOODY – Jockey D. Rewald was fined $100 for his whip use down the straight, striking the gelding 3 extra times over the allotted number.
 
BUDDY ROCKS – Lay in under pressure at the 200m hampering an inside runner.
 
ZAHA DREAM – Eased at the 200m when and outside horse shifted ground.
 
SPURRED UP – Could muster no early speed and travelled wide for the majority.
 
Race 4: CORNETTS IGA CLASS B HANDICAP - 1300 metres  
 
PARANA – Jumped away awkwardly losing ground and travelled wide for the majority with no cover.
 
Race 5: CENTRAL WEST RURAL QTIS CLASS 3 PLATE - 1400 metres      
 
MONSIEUR HUGHES – Travelled wide for the majority with no cover. Jockey J. Rudd was reprimanded for his use of the whip down the straight.
 
THE BUNSTA – Contacted at the top of the straight by an inside runner.
 
MY FLING – Slow into stride. Jockey G. Watson was fined $100 for his use of the whip.
 
POWER BUTTON – Contacted an outside runner at the top of the straight.
 
Race 6: OAKEY BEEF EXPORTS & CAMM AG LONGREACH CUP OPEN HANDICAP – 1400 metres
 
A DEPENDANT – Travelled wide for the majority with no cover. Upon returning to scale jockey D. McMaster required medical treatment from ambulance officers for and injured foot. Jockey McMaster stated she hit the gates on jumping injuring her foot. Jockey McMaster was transported to hospital for x-rays.
 
CRAWFISH – Jumped outwards contacting an outside runner.
 
EYE WINSOME – Over raced in the early stages.
 
CONQUISTADOR – Slow into stride.
 
NEPTUNE EXPRESS – Contacted at the start by an inside runner then held up for clear running in home straight.
