Race 1: GORDON ‘POPEYE’ SAUNDERS MEMORIAL QTIS BM 50 HANDICAP - 1000 metres
 
DRINKING COCKTAILS, NAYTELLRHI WORLD and I KAN CONQUER were all late scratchings at 12:30pm as there were no riders available.
 
ONE UP – Slow to begin, held up for clear running down the home straight and checked off heals at the 100m.
 
BAYSIDE BANDIT – Travelled wide for most of the race.
 
BELWORTH – Travelled wide in the early and middle stages.
 
 
Race 2: CORNETTS IGA CLASS 6 PLATE - 1000 metres 
 
SPURSYN – Slow to begin, eased off heels when over racing near the 700m. Jockey J. Lait stated the gelding felt awkward and proved difficult to ride out.
 
SONIC BOOMER – Slow to begin and travelled wide for the majority.
 
MAKE AMENDS – Shifted out down the home straight
 
 
 
Race 3: LION NATHAN MAIDEN PLATE - 1200 metres  
 
 
MAKE A MILLION was a late scratching at 11:50am due to an injury sustained to his near side front leg en route to the track. Trainer W. Irwin was advised a veterinary certificate of soundness would be required prior to the gelding starting again.
 
IMPLICATE – Fractious in barriers prior to jumping.
 
COOL RAIN – Travelled wide in the early and middles stages.
 
MISTRESS OF MONEY – Slow into stride.
 
Race 4: CANADIAN CLUB CLASS 3 PLATE - 1300 metres      
 
BONTEMPELLI – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 5: LION NATHAN XXXX GOLD CUP OPEN HANDICAP - 1600 metres 
 
D. Ballard was the rider of NOOGOORA BURR and permitted to ride 1kg overweight as there were no other riders available.
 
CHOCOLATE BOLT – Travelled wide for much of the race.
 
LEO’S SPIRIT – Slow into stride.
 
CHAMPAGNE TALES – Slow into stride.
 
NOOGOORA BURR – Held up for clear running in the home straight.
 
CONQUISTADOR – Slow into stride, eased when outside runners shifted ground nearing the finish line.
