McCrackenClerk of Scales – P. AndersonJudge – E. WarrenVeterinarian – J. DanielsStarter- P. Ballard Race 1: MERINO BAKERY CLASS B HANDICAP - 1000 metres SILVER FOX – Jumped away awkwardly. DIFFERENT SHADE – Slow to begin. MISS NOVELTY – Slow into stride and raced ungenerously throughout. IMPLICATE – Lay in down the home straight. BURJ AL – Jockey L. Dillon was reprimanded for his use of the whip and reminded of his obligation in the use of the whip. Race 2: LONGREACH TAVERN CLASS 3 PLATE - 1100 metres BIG DON – Slow into stride. GOOD LUCK CHARLIE – Eased near the 1000m when an outside runner shifted ground. GREEN LIGHT – Slow to begin and travelled wide in the middle and concluding stages. Jockey L. Dillon was fined for his excessive use of the whip on the gelding under AR137A(5)(a)(ii). PUNISHING – Shifted in slightly approaching the 1000m causing an inside runner to be eased. AVOID THE MISSUS – Slow to begin. LEND ME A TENNER – Slow into stride. Race 3: PRO TYRES BATTLE OF THE BUSH QUALIFIER – OPEN PLATE - 1100 metres ALPINE GOLD – Stood flat footed as the start was affected losing ground. Eased and had to change course when and outside runner shifted ground nearing the 150m. Jockey L. Dillon was fined for excessive use of the whip under AR137A(5)(a)(ii). KAKAKENNY – Slow into stride. TYRANNY – Jumped away awkwardly then travelled wide in the early and middle stages. Shifted in approaching the 150m hampering an inside runner. Apprentice McDonell was reminded of her obligation to keep her mount straight even when under pressure. Race 4: HOFFMAN SURVEYORS BM 55 HANDICAP - 1300 metres BAYSIDE BANDIT was a late scratching at 12.30pm due to no jockey being available. BON DANCER – Slow to begin then travelled wide throughout. STYLISH LUCK – Slow to begin. MISHANI CENTURION – Slow to begin. CHATARA – Eased near the 100m when running on to the heels of a tiring horse. Race 5: PRO TYRES BM 60 HANDICAP - 1600 metres NORTHERN MAGIC – Slow into stride. VALENTINE’S DAY – Raced ungenerously.
