Banks Race 1: GEORGE BOURNE & ASSOCIATES QTIS BM 50 HANDICAP - 1000 metres LEND ME A TENNER was a late scratching at 12.30pm as there were no riders available. SILVER FOX – Travelled wide for the majority and hung in down the home straight. BABERANCE – Fractious in barriers prior to jumping. EQUAL RULER – Travelled wide in the early stages. GESSNER – Slow into stride and travelled wide for much of the race. HIDDEN ROAD – Awkward and slow to begin, hung out rounding the home turn and proved difficult to ride out. Trainer C. Prow was advised a warning had been place on the gelding. BURJ AL – Fractious in the barriers prior to jumping and sat down as the gates opened causing the mare to be slow away. Race 2: THE GORDON ‘POPEYE’ SAUNDERS MEMORIAL BM 70 DRAGON FIRE – Jumped inwards contacting JUST ONE WISH and hung in in the straight. ALPINE GOLD – Jumped inwards contacting BENCHI PEGASUS causing the gelding to be slow away then travelled wide for much of the race. BENCHI PEGASUS – Heavily contacted at the start causing the gelding to be slow away and then slow into stride. Held up for clear running at the top of the home straight. JUST ONE WISH – Heavily contacted at the start and taken on to MAKE AMENDS. WICKED WOODY – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages. MAKE AMENDS – Heavily contacted at the start. ISSY COMMAND – Eased over the concluding stages when outside runner shifted ground. Race 3: BOY & BEV’S 50TH MAIDEN PLATE - 1200 metres DURANT – Travelled wide for the majority. THE MARSHALL – Contacted at the start. MARKISTA – Hung out for most of the race. A STAR BORN – Jumped inwards contacting an inside runner. Race 4: COL ANDERSON MEMORIAL BM 55 HANDICAP - 1400 metres SIPPIN’BUNDY and MISTY MONTANA were late scratchings as there were no riders available. GREEN LIGHT – Travelled wide for much of the race. PART THE SEA – Slow to begin. Jockey C. Rogers was fined the sum of $200 for her use of the whip on the gelding. COME BY CHANCE – Jumped away awkward and slow and travelled wide for much of the race. ASHIKO – Slow to begin and travelled wide in the early stages. NOTHING TO DANCE – Slow away and travelled wide for much of the race.
