Race 1: RACE DAY STAFF APPRECIATION RATINGS BAND 0 – 60 HANDICAP - 1600 metres
 
FROZE – Travelled wide from the top of the home straight to gain clear running.                                                                                                                             
 
DO I HAVE TO – Travelled wide with cover in the early and middle stages.
 
LONG STORY SHORT – Slow to muster speed, travelled wide for much of the race and stepped in a stride nearing the 1000m and had to be corrected.
 
TOO MUCH LIP – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
 
Race 2: BROWN BROTHERS APPRECIATION QTIS MAIDEN PLATE - 1200 metres 
 
 
PHOENIX SHADOW – Taken wide to avoid the dusty track conditions. Jockey B. Richardson stating the gelding resented the kickback and stated although PHOENIX SHADOW was having its first start on dirt, it would take benefit from the run.
 
TEMPER TEMPER – Travelled wide for much of the race.
 
GREAT BRAVE – Jumped away awkwardly, losing ground.
 
PERCY PICKLES – Jumped outwards brushing another runner. Taken wider nearing the 800m when an inside runner shifted out and travelled wide from that point.
 
BUWAN – Raced keenly between the 1000m & 800m.
 
SHE DEVEL – Travelled wide for much of the race.
 
WEAGLES – Jockey E. Bell reported the gate had bounced back contacting her left shoulder at the start but was fine to fulfil her remaining engagements.
 
 
Race 3: TRAINERS & JOCKEYS APPRECIATION BM 50 HANDICAP  (1) - 1200 metres  
 
 
There was a short delay prior to the start as the barrier attendants attempted to load CLASSIC BEAU. Unsuccessful in their attempts CLASSIC BEAU was declared a late scratching at 2.25pm with deductions in betting being announced with correct weight, will all monies invested in the gelding refunded and 18 cents in the dollar value of the win bet and 14 cents in the dollar value for place bet.
A stable representative for trainer P. O’Toole was advised a barrier certificate would be required prior to the gelding racing again.
 
DUCK IN DUBAI – Jumped inwards contacting another runner.
 
SONA DANCER – Contacted at the start.
 
SIXES – Reared on several occasions prior to the start then reared as the gates opened losing ground. Jockey Richardson then taking the mare to a wide position to avoid the dusty conditions.
 
Race 4: RACING QUEENSLAND SUPPORT APPRECIATION BM 50 HANDICAP (2) – 1200 metres
 
LET’S GO CHAMP – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
DRAGON IN THE NORTH – Travelled wide rounding the home turn to gain clear running.
 
CHEEKY CHOPS – Slow away and slow into the stride.
 
SURPRISE SELECTION – Eased back shortly after the 1000m towards the inside rail not to be caught wide but the mare resented the kickback and did not run on.
 
SO STUNNING – Travelled wide in the early and middle stages.
 
 
Race 5: WATTS & COOPER CATERING APPRECIATION CLASS 6 PLATE - 1200 metres 
 
FLEWSHOT – Slow to begin and travelled wide in the early and middle stages.
 
SHOW ‘EM – Brushed by an inside runner across heels shortly after the start and was eased, then travelled wide.
 
BOINGO – Travelled wide for the majority.
 
ROSEXCEL – Contacted shortly after the start when an inside runner was eased.
 
SIDETRIP – Hung out down the home straight and had to be corrected on several occasions.
 
 
Race 6: RINGROSE & BUTTON APPRECIATION OPEN HANDICAP – 1400 metres
 
 
RHYOLA – A late scratching at 12.55pm with no rider available.
 
BOLLENTE – Contacted at the start.
 
FRENCH HUSSLER – Jumped outwards contacting another runner. Manoeuvred wider on the track to avoid the dusty conditions.
 
HEROISM – Slow into stride and travelled wide for much of the race.
 
HUNTER ISLAND – Taken wider at the top of the straight to gain clear running. Jockey J. King was fined the sum of $200 for accepting a ride when overweight under AR190. Jockey King was permitted to ride ½ kg overweight as there were no other riders available.
 
HACKSAW RIDGE – Slow into stride.
 
Race 7: THE “MIGHTY MORT” APPRECIATION OPEN HANDICAP – 1000 metres
 
KAKAKENNY – Rolled out rounding the home turn.
 
BENCHI PEGASUS – Slow into stride and could muster no early speed then taken wider in the straight to gain clear running.
 
VALFIERNO – Slow to begin.
