Race 1: HARRY’S RESTAURANT MAIDEN PLATE 1000 metres
MISHANI GHOST – Laid in shortly after the start. Laid in over the concluding stages when placed under pressure.
OUR YOUNG MAN – Slow to begin and proved extremely difficult to ride out, finishing tailed off. Jockey B. Richardson stating the horse felt uncomfortable the first time racing this direction. Trainer R. Hermann was advised stewards would need to see an improved performance next start.
HEAVEN BLISS – Slow into stride.
UNLEISHA – Awkward to begin.
Race 2: SAUNDERS ELECTRICAL BM 65 HANDICAP 1000 metres
AMERICAN GENIUS – Laid in for a stride nearing the 800m, inconveniencing KALMAR momentarily.
DOOM – Jumped away awkwardly and showed no early pace then travelled wide in the early stages.
MUSIC AWARD – Travelled wide in the middle and late stages.
THE LAUNCHER – Jumped away awkwardly.
KALMAR – Momentarily inconvenienced when an outside runner shifted in for a stride near the 800m.
Race 3: LONGREACH TAVERN BM 45 HANDICAP 1200 metres
SAME OLD STORY, FLOWER & LOLLIPOP ROCKET were late scratching’s at 11:00am due to no riders being available.
METRICAL – Travelled wide in the middle and late stages.
PORTABELLE – Jumped away awkwardly.
HOT CHOCOLATE – Laid in shortly after the start, travelled wide in the early and middle stages. Laid in down the home straight proving difficult to ride out.
Race 4: CLEAR MOUNTAIN STUD OPEN PLATE 1300 metres
METSON – Travelled wide for much of the race with cover.
VAN WINKEL – Travelled wide in the early and middle stages.
MISHANI BLOSSOM – Jumped away awkwardly heavily contacting the barrier partition losing considerable ground then travelled wide for much of the race. Jockey A Bakos was attended to by ambulance officers after the race after contacting the barrier partition with her right foot and cleared to fulfil her remaining riding engagements.
JARHEAD – Reared as the gates opened losing ground.
HAZAR – Over raced in the early stages to the 1000m.
Race 5: G & G BROWNE SMASH REPAIRS 0 – 55 HANDICAP 1400 metres
SPARMAN & KENDISSI were both late scratching’s at 11:00am due to no riders being available.
BRIS VEGAS – Jumped away awkwardly.
AMADEO – Travelled wide in the early and middle stages.
GREY FALCON – Slow to begin and slow into stride.
CHEEKY CHOPS – Travelled wide for much of the race.
Race 6: 4LG & WEST FM CLASS 6 PLATE 1600 metres
SIZZLESUN – Jumped away awkwardly then travelled wide for much of the race. Laid in down the home straight.
NECESSITAS – The saddle slipped approaching the 1150m and Apprentice O. Kendal had little option but to kick her feet out of the irons to remain on the mare, proving difficult to ride out from that point.
