General

OUR YOUNG MAN, UNLEISHA, MISTRESS OF MONEY, HOGES and ALGEROBA all underwent a pre-race veterinary check after having raced in the last 7 days and were all passed fit to race.


Race 1: ELLIMACON MAIDEN PLATE - 1000 metres


OUR YOUNG MAN and UNLEISHA bumped on jumping.

OUR YOUNG MAN – Jockey J. Rudd contacted the barrier partition on jumping injuring his left knee. He was checked by ambulance officials and cleared to fulfil his remaining riding engagements. He also indicated the saddle had slipped on the gelding proving difficult to ride out.

DANDY PRINCESS – Travelled wide for much of the race.


Race 2: THE TRAPMAN BY PADDY & DIZY WILKINS QTIS RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 HANDICAP - 1000 metres


OUR GIRL TAMIYA was scratched due to no riders being available.

ASBURY PARK – Slipped out of the gates, losing ground with jockey T. Brummell losing his iron which was quickly regathered. Raced in restricted room approaching the 600m and shifted inwards at the 350m to gain clear running.

ALGEROBA – Hung in for much of the race.

OLIFANTS – Fractious prior to jumping.

PARA PARK – Slow into stride, showed no early speed and travelled wide for much of the race.

MY FIXATION – Laid out for much of the race.


Race 3: SHELL SERVICE CENTRE CLASS 6 PLATE - 1000 metres


FLASH FIBIAN – Fractious in the gates prior to jumping.

KALMAR – Travelled wide for much of the race.

LEO’S EXPRESS – Travelled wide in the early stages.

NO REFUND – Slow to begin and travelled wide for much of the race.


Race 4: FLOORED BY RAMSAY BM 50 HANDICAP - 1300 metres

HOT CHOCOLATE was a late scratching due to no riders being available.

GOLDEN TREASURE – Jumped awkwardly contacting SIZZLESUN.

SIZZLESUN – Jumped awkwardly, contacted at the start and slow into stride.

SAME OLD STORY – Jockey J. Missen was charged under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for his use of the whip prior to the 100m mark on 11 occasions and suspended for a period of 11 days.

HOGES – Travelled wide for much of the race.

STRAWBERRY BLONDE – Travelled wide for much of the race and lay in down the home straight.

OUR SAY – Jumped outwards and hung out rounding the home turn.



Race 5: SIMSTOCK AGENCIES OPEN PLATE - 1300 metres

VAN WINKLE – Heavily contacted at the start.

ARCHADE – Slow to begin and travelled wide in the middle and late stages.

VINAIGRETTE – Jumped inwards contacting an inside runner.
