Race 1: GEOFF GREALY / RYAN SAVAGE / JENNY REED MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 1400M
 
FORGED IN STONE - Bumped at the start with DISPUTE. Shifted out abruptly under pressure near the 200m.
 
DEEP UNDERCOVER – Failed to muster early speed and trailed the field in the early and middle stages.
 
DISPUTE – Bumped at the start with forged in stone. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.
 
FELONIOUS – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
LIGHT'S VISION – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin. Over raced for a distance near the 1200m.
 
THE LANDING – Raced wide throughout. Laid in rounding the 800m turn.
 
FUNKY FARM – Slow to begin.
 
GULF OF AQABA – Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 2: QLD HELICOPTERS BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1600M
 
TELL THE WORLD – Slow to begin.
 
PHYLAVE – Began awkwardly.
 
AZOUSTIC – Slow to begin. Over raced and hung in during the early stages.
 
MONDIAL EXPRESS – Jockey T Brummell pleaded guilty to a charge under AR132(5) for using his whip on 16 occasions in total, 2 more than permitted. Mr Brummell was fined $300.
 
Race 3: RINGROSE BUTTON ACCOUNTANTS CLASS 6 PLATE 1300M
 
FOR MY ANNIE – Gave ground noticeably over the final 400m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Connections advised that this was the geldings second start on dirt and would likely derive benefit from the experience.
 
SHARPAY RULER - Jockey A Bakos was fined $300 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for her use of the whip on 6 occasions prior to 100m, 1 more than permitted.
 
SOLE HEIR – Jockey D Graham was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for her use of the whip on 6 occasions prior to 100m, 1 more than permitted.
 
BITTERSWEET PLUCK – Began awkwardly and raced wide early.
 
POLICE (NZ) – Raced wide throughout.

REAL HUSSEY – Apprentice J Golden was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for his use of the whip on 6 occasions prior to 100m, 1 more than permitted.
 
IMPACTFUL – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination behind the barriers and was cleared to start. Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
Race 4: TOPX LONGREACH QTIS CLASS 4 HANDICAP 1000M
 
HIGHGROUND – Raced wide throughout.
 
ZA HIDDEN DRAGON – Jockey B Richardson was examined by QAS officers after being kicked in the leg behind the barriers and was cleared to take her remaining rides.
 
BETTER DAYS AHEAD – Restrained off heels near the 600m.
 
MISS HOFF – Threw its head in the air at the start and was slow to begin as a result. Restrained off heels leaving the 700m. Apprentice J Golden was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for his use of the whip on 7 occasions prior to 100m, 2 more than permitted.
 
PHONDLE – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin. Jockey R Faehr reported he was struck in the face at the start. Mr Faehr was examined by QAS officers and cleared to take his remaining rides.
 
ZIPPING IRISH – Raced wide throughout.
 
BI TURBO – Raced wide throughout.
 
MISERY MISS – Raced wide throughout.
 
WORLD CHARMER (NZ) – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
SOUND OF SLEAT – Raced wide throughout.
 
LAYLAH'S WISH – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 5: SPROUT AGRIBUSINESS LONGREACH CUP/COUNTRY CUPS CHALLENGE QUALIFIER OPEN HANDICAP 1600M
 
Prior to correct weight Jockey R Faehr, rider of second placed CENTAUR, viewed the photo finish and was satisfied with the judges numbers.
 
CENTAUR – Slow to begin.
 
JERRY ZANDA – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
Race 6: THE BRANCH CAFÉ OPEN HANDICAP 1100M
 
ZUKAZ – Raced wide throughout.
 
HEYINGTON STATION – Raced wide throughout. Hung in under pressure in the home straight.
 
LITTLE TOWN BLUES – Slow to begin.
 
FREDDIE EDDIE – Raced wide for the majority.
 
After the running of this event Jockey B Richardson was further examined by QAS officers and declared unfit to fulfill her remaining engagement. Ms Richardson was advised she requires a medical clearance prior to resuming riding.
 
Race 7: OUTBACK INSURANCE BROKERS BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1200M
 
FUTURE IDEA (NZ) – Shifted in of its own accord approaching the first turn and contacted the running rail. Lost touch with the field after 200m and was then eased out of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a fracture to the near hind leg and was euthanised on humane grounds. Samples were collected from the gelding.
 
SEENUSCOMING – Raced wide throughout.
 
HERE HE LOOMS – Laid in under pressure over the final 200m.
 
ZOROSSA – Began awkwardly.
 
I AM JIMMY – Raced wide throughout.
 
LUNA GLIDE – Raced wide throughout. Rider reported that he felt the horse raced flat and had come to the end of its preparation. Trainer R Simpson advised that the horse would likely be spelled.
 
COOL HARRY – Slow to begin. Shifted in of its own accord approaching the first turn and brushed the running rail.
