QUEENSLANDRACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT LONGREACH JOCKEY CLUB SATURDAY 17TH AUGUST 2024 WEATHER – FINE TRACK RATING – DIRT OFFICIALS Stewards – S Coulthard (Chair), P Anderson (Assistant). GENERALAs Jockey Anna Bakos-Schrapel was not riding at today’s meeting due to a trackwork injury, rider replacements were made as per the steward’s race-day summary. Mrs Bakos-Schrapel was advised she would require a medical certificate prior to being permitted to race again. Race 1:PRO TYRES STAFF BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1000M TIGER FOR LIFE – Slow into stride. CHIEF MONDO - Slow into stride. CROWN REACH – Jumped awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. CHICA HOTTIE –Raced greenly in the early and middle stages. Jockey, M Gray reported that the filly raced greenly throughout, and that he had recommended to connections the addition of blinkers to the mare’s gear.A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Race 2:YOKOHAMA RATINGS BAND 0 - 60 HANDICAP 1200M TUSCAN SUN – Slow to begin. HARCH ROAD - Raced wide throughout. Approaching the 200m shifted in momentarily hampering BITTERSWEET PLUCK when receiving pressure from HARBOUR GOLD (apprentice K Lenton) racing to its outside which shifted in under pressure. Apprentice K Lenton was reminded of her obligations to stop riding and correct her mount earlier in similar circumstances. HARBOUR GOLD – Raced wide throughout. Laid in under pressure between the 300-200m. ENCROACHMENT – Shifted out on jumping hampering FREDDIE EDDIE. FREDDIE EDDIE – Hampered on jumping. Race 3:BRIDGESTONE QTIS BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 1300M VILA TINTO – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. ANOTHER TOSSER - Raced wide throughout. WAN D'AMOUR – Raced wide with cover for the early and middle stages. VALIANT JOAN - Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages. Race 4: PRO TYRES LONGREACH NEWMARKET OPEN HANDICAP 1300M MOTION LEGEND – Raced wide throughout. Momentarily hampered over the concluding stages when DEEP BREATH (S McGovern) laid out under pressure. Jockey, S McGovern was reminded of his obligations to stop riding and straighten his mount under similar circumstances. SAVOURY (NZ) – Slow to begin. JERRY ZANDA – Slow to begin. BURDEKIN – Raced wide throughout. NEW YORK WORLD – Slow to begin. Race 5:CENTURY BATTERIES RATINGS BAND 0 - 60 HANDICAP 1400M DARK ARCHER – Slow to begin. MONEY MUNCHER - Raced wide throughout. INSPIRATION – Hampered on jumping when DIRECT AFFECT shifted out, as a result was slow away. DIRECT AFFECT – Shifted out on jumping hampering INSPIRATION. BADGE - Raced wide throughout.
