Race 1: L.D. LUCEY MEMORIAL SPONSORED BY LUCEY FAMILIES QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1000 Metres
 
BOLD ARCHER – Began awkwardly and shifted inwards, was then urged forward and had to be restrained when over-racing leaving the 1100 metres to avoid the heels PRINCESS GLEE which shifted in and lost ground in this incident. Laid out rounding the home turn and continued to do so under pressure in the home straight.

MISS STARLIGHT – Fractious in the barriers prior to the start. Began awkwardly and shifted out bumping LITTLE REWARD.
 
SMALL REWARD – Began awkwardly and was then bumped by MISS STARLIGHT which shifted out.   

SON DINGO – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
WRONGLY ACCUSED – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
SPLASH OF PAINT – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Rider reported on returning to scale the gelding got its tongue over the bit during the race. Trainer P. Rowe advised he would experiment with a tongue tie prior to its next start.
 
Race 2: NORWELD AUSTRALIA GUNNAWARRA SHIELD CLASS 6 PLATE – 1000 Metres
 
WESTROCK – Fractious during its preliminary and made contact with the running rail. Was examined by the veterinary surgeon and was cleared to start. Trainer A. Ryan was advised a warning would be placed on the geldings parading manners. Began awkwardly. Restrained near 800 metres when improved onto heels.
 
GOHARDONHULA – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.

CLEVER HUNTER – Began very awkwardly and lost considerable ground.

DELUXE ROCKER – Raced wide for the majority of the race.

SUPPOSEDLY WICKED – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 3: RAVENSHOE ROAD KILL BEEF JERKY CLASS B HANDICAP – 1200 Metres
 
LITTLE SPOON – A pre-race veterinary examination of the mare which was returning to racing after a long spell cleared it to start. Shifted outwards on jumping crowding runners to its outside.  
 
BOUGATSA – Very fractious in the barriers prior to the start. Began very awkwardly, lost ground and was unable to muster early speed despite the efforts of its rider. Unable to obtain clear running over the concluding stages and went to the line without being fully tested.
 
SHE BEATS THE BEST – Began awkwardly and lost ground.     
 
HIGH ADVICE – Crowded on jumping.  
 
NORTHERN GREAT – Bumped on jumping by HIGH ADVICE which shifted out when crowded for room.  
 
GREYSERENE – Began awkwardly.
 
REGAL HEART – Crowded on jumping.
 
NUCLEAR BOOM – Raced wide for the majority of the race.  

BATTLE MOUNTAIN – Raced wide for the majority of the race.  
 
Race 4:NQ ENGINEERING & FABRICATION RATINGS BAND 0 - 50 HANDICAP – 1350 Metres
 
RAIN ON ME – Declared a late scratching at 11.40am when found to lame in the near front lower leg when being loaded for transportation to the course. Tranier R.
Nelson was advised he must provide a veterinary certificate of soundsnes for the mare prior to it being permitted to trial or race again.     
 
WHITTERICK – Rider dropped her whip on jumping.

MANHATTAN ZIP – Slow to begin.

HOT TOP – Slow to begin.  
 
Race 5: DUFFYS FURNITURE COURT & BEDSRUS ATHERTON/BLENNERS TPT BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP – 1350 Metres
 
LICKETY LACHIE – Trainer P. Rowe advised steward’s, instructions would be issued to ride the gelding more forward than its previous start if circumstances permit. Ridden accordingly. Slow to begin.
 
JIMMY WITHA DASH – Slow to begin.
 
SHEHROZ – Raced wide for the majority of the race.  
 
Race 6: CLONCURRY MUSTERING COMPANY MT GARNET CASHMERE CUP OPEN HANDICAP – 1800 Metres
 
TUNERO – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
POETIC ATTACKS – Shifted wider leaving the 800 metres and raced wide from that point onwards.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have soreness in its near fore carpal. Connections were advised a veterinary certificate of soundness must be provided prior to the gelding trialling or racing again.    
 
NEWSTEAD – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have injured its off fore tendon. Connections advised it is now the intention to retire the horse from racing.
