RACE 1: Treasure Park Benchmark 60 Handicap 1000 metres:
1st – GOLD RUST      2nd – HI MACKAY      3rd – CHARGALUCCA          4th – ZOE BAY
 
CHARGALUCCA which was resuming from a lengthy spell was examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field.
 
ENCHANTRIX – Slow to begin. Raced wide in the late stages.
 
GOLD RUST – Raced wide throughout.
 
RACE 2: Earl Family Maiden Plate 1000 metres
1st – FOREST MAGIC 2nd – AMBER’S GIRL 3rd – REALLY ROCKETS     4th – RANGA ROCKET
 
RANGA ROCKET – Slow to begin.
 
BELMONT TURF BELLE – Bumped at the 250 metres by another runner which shifted out under pressure.
 
AMBER’S GIRL – Hampered at the 250 metres by another runner which was racing very greenly.
 
TILLINO – Shifted out under pressure at the 250 metres bumping another runner and commenced to race very greenly thereafter. Jockey M Barnham reported the gelding was having its first start and would derive great benefit from today’s run. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormailities.
 
RACE 3: Dyno Nobel Benchmark 45 Handicap 1170 metres
1st – THE TEENY HASS       2nd – CHAT TIME      3rd – CAPE LUCK      4th – DORA’S MAGIC
 
CAPE LUCK – Slow into stride.
 
Stewards opened an inquiry into the reasons for Jockey M Haley being dislodged near the 1000 metres to be finalised at a later date. After being examined by the Ambulance Officers Jockey Haley was stood down for his remaining engagements. Replacements were made as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.
 
RACE 4: Moranbah Rural Supplies Open Handicap 1170 metres
1st – KNOWING ME   2nd – DELIVERY        3rd – BOMBER MISS 4th – DEE DOUBLEYOU
 
Jockey C McIver replaced Jockey M Haley as the rider of BOMBER MISS when Jockey Haley was injured in the previous race.
 
Prior to the declaration of Correct Weight Jockey M Barnham requested to view the available films of the start to ascertain if INACTION obtained a fair start. After viewing the films Jockey Barnham was satisfied and Correct Weight was declared on the judges placings.
 
INACTION – Stepped back as the start was effected and was slow into stride thereafter.
 
KNOWING ME – Raced wide in the late stages.
 
RACE 5: Isaac Council Benchmark 55 Handicap 1550 metres
1st – PEARLY AVENUE        2nd – CALL ME RINGO         3rd – MYSTIC HARMONY     4th – MONTANA MAN
 
Jockey K Aho replaced Jockey M Haley as the rider of UNDER THE WEATHER when Jockey Haley was injured in Race 3.
 
DIAMONDNET – Began very awkwardly and tailed the field throughout.
 
GREY PARIZ – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
MONTANA MAN – After returning to the mounting enclosure showed signs of distress and was immediately tended to by the veterinarian. The gelding collapsed a short time later and was pronounced deceased. A post moretom sample was collected for analysis.
