GENERAL:
 
SALGALETZ, SUSSEX STREET, RANGA ROCKET, STORMY ZUMA, PEARLY AVENUE and UNDER THE WEATHER which all competed at Mackay Turf Club, Thursday 15 June 2017 were examined by the veterinary surgeon prior their respective races and were cleared to start.  
 
Due to technical errors, the photo finish was unavailable for the meeting. Extra Judges were   supplied by the club with extra video and cameras used as backup. All participants were advised of this matter.   
 
Race 1: DAVID KEIOSKIE AUTO TRIMMING & UPHOLSTERY CLASS B H’CAP – 1000M
 
KAHUNA – Began very awkwardly and lost ground.
 
AUTHADANE – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
ROSIE’S SON – Shifted out at the start hampering another runner.
 
COBUNGRA BOY – Hampered on jumping by another runner which jumped outwards. Hampered a short distance after the start by another runner which shifted in.    
 
FUJIN – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Rider M. Haley reported following the race that in his opinion the gelding was not comfortable on today’s track condition.
 
TIBYAAN – Shifted in shortly after the start hampering another runner. Rider L. Cheshire was advised to show greater care when shifting ground.   
 
 
 
Race 2: MORANBAH RACE CLUB MAIDEN PLATE – 1000M
 
BETA BUTA UP – Slow to begin. Rider M. Haley advised Stewards the gelding laid in for the  majority of the race.
 
GLORY ACCOUNT – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
CORNWALL COAST – Laid out rounding the 800m turn and shifted wider.

REALY ROCKETS – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
MISS MARSEILLE – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 3: ADEPT CONTRACTORS QTIS BENCHMARK 60 H’CAP – 1170M
 
BOYS FROM THE BUSH – Fractious in the barriers prior to the start. Began very awkwardly and lost considerable ground. Trainer J. Manzelmann, was advised the gelding must obtain a further barrier certificate prior to its next race start.  
 
ENEMY OF MAN – Blundered on jumping. Raced wide for the majority of the race.  
 
SUSSEX STREET – Began awkwardly and shifted out. Raced wide in the early stages of the race.
 
RENEGADE RUBY – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
DRAGON ROCKET – Rider L. Cheshire was of the opinion the gelding raced with its tongue over the bit.
 
Race 4: TCS HAIR AND BEAUTY CLASS B H’CAP – 1400M
 
RANGA ROCKET – Slow to begin.
 
MISTY ISLAND – Slow to begin.
 
ZOFFANY ROCKET – Shifted outwards on jumping and again shortly after the start bumping another runner. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
GENERAL BEERS – Bumped by another runner on jumping and again shortly after the start    becoming unbalanced for a short distance and losing ground.  
 
SCURRY – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Race 5: DYNO NOBEL MORANBAH BENCHMARK 55 H’CAP – 1550M
 
ZATOCHIO – After competing in race three on today’s program the gelding was examined by the veterinary surgeon prior to the race and again behind the barriers and was cleared to start. Began awkwardly. Steadied from heels near the 1300m.
 
UNDER THE WEATHER – Fractious in the barriers prior to the start.
 
THREE HENRY’S – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
