GENERAL

Raceday Veterinary Surgeon Dr J Thaunton advised Stewards prior to the running of Race 5 that he was required to attend a veterinary matter off course immediately following the race and further advised due to the seriousness of the situation he would not be available to stay on course and take a post race blood sample from the winner.





Race 1: VITRINITE & BARADA BARNA BENCHMARK 60 Handicap (1400 METRES)



PROANE, slow to begin.



FROZE, underwent a pre-race veterinary inspection and was cleared to start.

Slow into stride and failed to show any early speed.





Race 2: MORANBAH COMMUNITY WORKERS CLUB Maiden Plate (1170 METRES)



CAMO’S DREAM, checked at the start when a runner on the inside jumped out and made heavy contact, failed to show any speed throughout.



NALSSENDORI, underwent a pre-race veterinary inspection and was cleared to start.

Jumped out at the start severely checking a runner on the outside.



BUNGARRIBEE LAD, underwent a pre-race veterinary inspection and was cleared to start.



LENNY ROCKET, began awkwardly.





Race 3: SURELIFT Class B Handicap (1170 METRES)



SECLUSION, began awkwardly failed to show any early speed. Jockey David Simmons pleaded guilty to a charge under the terms of AR132(5) for using his whip on 18 occasions in total. His license to ride in races was suspended for 8 days from midnight from 12th March until midnight

20th March 2022, stewards took into account this was his second offence under this rule in the last 12 months.



HARD CURRENCY, slow to begin.



CHATILLY, raced wide throughout and shifted in under pressure over the concluding stages.



MIKKI’S MISTRESS, was hampered over the concluding stages.





Race 4: MINING & ENERGY UNION OPEN Plate (1170 METRES)



FAB’S COWBOY, was bumped at the start by another runner.



SUCH A WHIT, jumped out at the start and failed to show any speed throughout the race.





Race 5: COMPLETE MECHANICAL SUPPORT QTIS Class 3 Plate (1000 METRES)





HARRY ROCKET, shifted in under pressure over the concluding stages.



SONIC ARROW, raced wide throughout.



ONLY EMMA, knuckled badly at the start.
