Stewards inquired into Apprentice Z. White’s use of the whip in four races at today’s event. After viewing the patrol footage and taking evidence from all parties, Stewards issued a charge against Apprentice White under AR.137A(5)(ii) in that she used her whip on more than five occasion prior to the 100m in four races that she rode in at today’s event. Stewards fined Apprentice White $400.

RACE 1: NORTHERN LIVESTOCK & PROPERTY BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1000m
 
WISCONSIN – Slow to begin. Raced three wide without cover throughout the early and middle stages.
 
RUBY RED GIFT – Bucked shortly after the start taking no competitive part in the event. Trainer W. Baker was advised the mare would require a barrier certificate prior to retuning to race.
 
EREBOR – Raced wide without cover throughout the early and middle stages.
 
RACE 2: SAMIOS TRADING POST CLASS B HANDICAP – 1000m
 
The start time of the event was amended to 1:25pm due to weather conditions.
 
SEA PRAISE – Began awkwardly.
 
AYLA’S ANGEL – Slow to begin. Raced four wide without cover throughout the early and middle stages. 
 
 
RACE 3: WESTERN QLD EARTHMOVING BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP – 1200m
 
The start time of the event was amended to 1:50pm due to weather conditions.
 
PART THE SEA – Hung out rounding the 800m turn.
 
DAYTIME DANCER – Raced three wide without cover throughout the middle stages.
 
 
RACE 4: RAY WHITE RURAL ROMA QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1200m
 
The start time of the event was amended to 2:30pm due to weather conditions.
 
CHOCOLATE OREO – Slow to begin.
 
TEREX – Began awkwardly
 
IT’S MY TIME – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
 
RACE 5: BOORINGA CUP OPEN HANDICAP – 1400m
