As jockey S Sweedman was unable to attend for acceptable reasons, Stewards permitted riding changes as per the race Day summary sheet.
 
 
Race 1 – Class 3 Plate (1000 METRES)
 
KING CONI – Slow to begin.
 
HANGRY – T Banks, rider of HANGRY, was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m, one more than permitted.
 
MASSIE WHISPER – Rider D Baker dropped his whip leaving the 300m.
 
MORE THAN LIKELY – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Rider P Randall reported the horse hung out for the majority of the event and was unable to fully test MORE THAN LIKELY in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Trainer W Baker was advised a warning would be placed on the racing manners of MORE THAN LIKELY.
 
 
Race 2 – Open Hdcp (1200 METRES)
 
NICK THE SKIP – Apprentice S Robbins, rider of NICK THE SKIP, was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip on 7 occasions prior to the 100m, two more than permitted.
 
SHIJIN – Raced three wide for the majority of the event.
 
 
Race 3 – Benchmark 45 Hdcp (1200 METRES)
 
ORDERS – Raced wide throughout.
 
AVISION – Crowded on jumping and lost ground.
 
MOVING DAY – Raced three wide in the early and middle stages of the event.
 
RIPOVA – Checked near the 800m.
 
MY BIG BROTHER – Jumped out at the start resulting in AVISON being crowded for room and losing ground. Near the 800m became awkwardly placed at the heels of POLLARD, shifted out abruptly despite the efforts of its rider resulting in RIPOVA being checked. Weakened from the 500m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. In light of the poor performance, Trainer C Rogers was advised a warning would be placed on MY BIG BROTHER.
 
 
Race 4 – Maiden Plate (1200 METRES)
 
JUNGLELAND – After beginning awkwardly unable to muster speed in the early stages of the event.
 
MAX’N’MAT – Slow to begin. Passing the 500m improved onto the heels of KUKINTA and blundered.
 
 
Race 5 – Benchmark 65 Hdcp (1400 METRES)
 
LINE UP – Near the 1200m shied and shifted in and away from SIMPLE SAGA making heavy contact with the running rail.
 
TANGO TINO – Raced three wide for the majority of the event.
 
AURIC GOLD – Slow to begin. Checked near the 1200m when SIMPLE SAGA commenced to buck.
 
SIMPLE SAGA – Approaching the 1200m commenced to buck resulting in rider M Schrapel being dislodged a short distance later. AURIC GOLD, which was following, was checked and taken wider on the track and LINE UP, which was racing to the inside, shied in and away from SIMPLE SAGA making contact with the running rail and becoming unbalanced. Trainer L Baker was advised SIMPLE SAGA must trial satisfactorily prior to its next race start. Rider M Schrapel was examined by QAS staff and cleared of any injury. A post-race veterinary examination of SIMPLE SAGA revealed no abnormality.
 
FUNKY FARM – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
