Race 1: Isaac Regional Council QTIS Maiden Plate 1000m
 
The start of the race was delayed when MR PALOMINO required re-saddling.
 
DROPPER ROCKET Slow into stride. Rider reported that he had difficulty in riding out when whip was caught in its mane.
 
MR PALOMINO Inclined to hang out during the middle stages.
 
TYPHOON TAHNIE Slow to begin.
 
App. Z White was reminded of the rule with regard to use of her whip prior to the 100m. Stewards took into account the totality of her whip use.
 
Jockey S Sheargold pleaded guilty to a charge under AR145 in that he returned to the scale in excess of half a kilogram overweight. He was fined $300. In considering of penalty, Stewards considered his poor record.
 
Race 2: Graeme Acton Memorial Ratings Band 0-55 Handicap 1000m
 
ANGELS CROWN Began awkwardly.
 
Race 3: Undamine Industries Class B Handicap 1200m
 
BETA BUTA UP Buffeted between runners at the start. Raced wide throughout.
 
THATTS HER I THINK
Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
BARBOUGE Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 4: Comiskey Mining Services BenchMark 65 Handicap 1200m
 
FRENCH SONG Rider was dislodged in the preliminary. When captured the horse underwent a veterinary inspection and was cleared to start.
 
MURPHYYS HUSTLER Slow to begin.
 
LOGICAL OUTCOME Slow to begin. Rider dropped the whip near the 300m.
 
Race 5: Coaltrain BenchMark 50 Handicap 1475m
 
Prior to the declaration of correct weight, stewards viewed the photo finish image and were satisfied as to the judgees decision of a dead heat for first.
 
It was observed that the saddle had slipped on AWESOME SIGHT and the lead bag became dislodged near the 300m. On weighing in, it was found to be 1.1kg under its allotted weight and in accordance with AR 143 was disqualified from its 5th position. App. E Smith was advised of her responsibility to advise stewards as soon as possible with regard to any occurrence which may have affected the running of her horse.
 
DRAGON ROCKET Shortly after the start, bucked, lost ground and took no competitive part in the race. Trainer J Manzelman was advised that it would require a satisfactory trial prior to its next start.
 
WULFIES LADY Raced wide without cover.
 
Race 6: Angloamerican Middlemount Cup Open Handicap 1475m
 
 
PREEN QUEEN Steward acceded to an application from the trainer that due to the prevailing track condition and given welfare concerns to the horse, declared it a late scratching at 2:25pm. No deductions were applicable.
 
MOTORISED Dipped on jumping.
 
KNOWING ME Race 3 wide without cover throughout.
