ACT OF ROYALTY – Raced four wide without cover throughout. SAND AND OCEAN – Fractious in the barrier prior to the start. Slow into stride. IXELLES – Raced five wide without cover throughout. Race 2: JENNCHEM AUSTRALIA PTY LTD BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1000 metres GOLDEN ATHENA – Slow to begin. Race 3: FOXLEIGH MANAGEMENT PTY LTD QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1200 metres DAWN REBEL –Raced three wide without cover throughout. LOUIE GREYSTAR – Bumped by ANNIE’S TOP on jumping. MISS RINEHART – Declared a late scratching at 11:15am when there was no available rider. ANNIE’S TOP – Began awkwardly and bumped LOUIE GREYSTAR. COCO ROYALE – Presented to race without blinkers when blinkers were noted on the gear sheet for the filly. The stable representative advised that the filly had not worn blinkers at it’s most recent start in Longreach on the preceding Sunday. Stewards reviewed the race footage from Longreach on 23rd July 2023 and observed that the filly had not worn blinkers. Stewards will take the matter up with Trainer K Clark-Peoples at a later date. MY DAD’S BETTER – Slow to begin. ZAZ IN PARIS – Declared a late scratching at 8:08am when there was no available rider. Race 4: ACTON MEMORIAL RATINGS BAND 0 – 55 Handicap 1475 metres MILKY ROCKET – Got its hind leg up in the tie up stall before the event. A pre-race veterinary examination cleared the gelding to start. STURDY TIME – Raced three wide without cover throughout. Following the running of the event, Jockey C Lennon dismounted his mount upon pulling up. The Queensland Ambulance Officers attended to Jockey Lennon and he was subsequently stood down. Jockey Lennon was advised that he would require a medical clearance prior to race riding again. Race 5: ISAAC REGIONAL COUNCIL MIDDLEMOUNT CUP OPEN Handicap 1475 metres RECONDITE (NZ) – Slow to begin. Raced four wide without cover throughout.
