GENERAL
 
Prior to the start of the event Stewards expressed concerns with the consistency, coverage and safety of the track surface. After consultation with the club and overseeing earthworks to the track surface, Stewards deemed the track suitable for racing. Amended start times below.
 
 
RACE 1: KERWICK'S EARTHWORKS/NITSCHKE GROUP QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1050M
 
The start of this event was amended to 2:00pm
 
VINAKA VAKALEVU SI – Hung out rounding the 800m turn.
 
EDENANNIE – Raced in restricted room for a short distance approaching the 700m.
 
CAUGHT REDHANDED – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
YES SAY YES – Blundered upon jumping and lost ground, Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
 
RACE 2: CONDABRI FEEDLOT/J MULLINS PLUMBING/MURILLA FOODWORKS CLASS B HANDICAP – 1050M

RACE 5: JOHN MULLINS MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP (SPONSORED BY MURILLA HARDWARE SUPPLIES) – 1500M  
 
HEY LIFE  - Apprentice B. Mackie was reprimanded under AR.92(12) for only claiming two and a half kilograms of her three kilogram allowance. Tightened for room shortly after the start when another runner to the outside laid in. When racing in restricted room rounding the 1200m turn improved onto heels and was forced to be restrained. Improved onto heels at the 900m and was forced to restrain for a short distance before electing to obtain a three wide position without cover for the remainder of the event.
 
I’M NO RUBY – Laid in shortly after the start placing another runner to the inside in restricted room. Jockey J. King was advised to exercise more care.
 
THE INTERN – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
HANOVER SQUARE – Slow to begin. Tightened for room shortly after the start by another runner to the outside.
 
THIN DISGUISE – Began awkwardly shifting in and making heavy contact with another runner to the inside.
