Approaching the 400 metres was held up when disappointed for a narrow run.Race 2: Autocorner Mackay Classic QTIS 2YO Handicap - 1050 metres 1st RUBY REMEDY 2nd PARTY PARDEE 3rd MIM'S POET 4th - CYCLONE ALEYSA PARTY PARDEE - Slow to begin.REDAQUA - Passing the 500 metres shifted in away from another runner, made heavy contact with the running rail, became unbalanced and lost considerable ground. A short distance later again shifted in and made contact with the running rail. Trainer Ms Z. Hohn was told that a warning will be placed on the filly's racing manners.OURBOYBYRON - Hung out rounding the home turn.RUBY REMEDY - Shortly after straightening, when attempting a narrow run, shifted out and made contact with another runner, then raced greenly in the home straight. CYCLONE ALEYSA - Shortly after straightening was bumped by another runner, then raced greenly thereafter.Race 3: Crown Lager Maiden Handicap - 1200 metres 1st - GYPSY SECRET 2nd EQUAL RULER 3rd FOREST MAGIC 4th - LOGAN'S RUN WILD GYPSY ROSE - Refused to load into the barriers. Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the mare, at 2.06 p.m. Subsequently they ordered that all bets made on WILD GYPSY ROSE be refunded and that the following deductions apply: 0¢ in the dollar for the win for the winner, GYPSY SECRET 2¢ in the dollar for the place for the winner, GYPSY SECRET 1¢ in the dollar for the place for 2nd, EQUAL RULER 3¢ in the dollar for the place for 3rd, FOREST MAGICTrainer Mr L. Wright was told that he must obtain a further barrier certificate prior to the mare racing again.LOGAN'S RUN - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to take its place in the field. Pulled hard in the early stages. FEELIN' THE HEAT - Raced ungenerously in the early stages, and in the home straight was inclined to lay in under pressure.Passing the 1000 metres Jockey T. Bannon allowed FOREST MAGIC to shift in when not quite clear of HIDENA MAN (D. Simmons), which had to be steadied. Jockey Bannon was reprimanded.SLIP RAIL - Apprentice M. Haley, in the presence of his master, Mr J. Manzelmann, was questioned in relation to his riding of the colt, and of particular concern was his lack of vigour in the home straight. After taking evidence from both App. Haley and Mr Manzelmann, stewards adjourned the inquiry until a date to be fixed. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.Race 4: Local Building Maintenance Class 3 Plate - 1800 metres 1st ALAKRIS 2nd TIP RAT 3rd MOSSIMO 4th - MEADOW DREAMER FRANLYLE - Bumped with another runner at the start.MOSSIMO - Bumped another runner at the start.GOSSES BLUFF - Slow to begin then was crowded for room shortly after the start. Pulled hard in the middle stages when the tempo was slow.LAMERICAN - For some distance approaching the home turn was held up on the heels of a weakening runner. MARCHA'S MOMENT - In the early stages was caught wide and allowed to stride forward and assume the lead. Jockey Lennon was reprimanded under A.R. 137A(4)(c) for using his whip on his mount when it was out of contention. MEADOW DREAMER - In the early stages pulled hard when being restrained.Race 5: Blacks Real Estate Class 1 Handicap - 1100 metres 1st OUR SINGLE DOUBT 2nd ROCKIN' READY 3rd ELSPETH'S STAR 4th - MOUNTAIN LANEELIZA BELLE - Slow to begin. OUR SINGLE DOUBT - Slow to begin. Raced keenly in the early stages.ROCKIN' READY - Crowded for room at the start.SNITZEL ROSE - Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.NUDGEE - Was inclined to lay in in the early part of the straight, then passing the 200 metres was struck across the nose by the whip of another rider.Race 6: Green Energy Technologies Open Handicap - 1050 metres 1st STANATHOL 2nd NATURAL DANCER 3rd AERIAL PING PONG 4th - BON TEMPSSCOT FREE - Knuckled at the start, then was crowded for room shortly after.HATZIS - Slow to begin.BON TEMPS - Raced 3 wide without cover.STARLISTIC - Shortly after straightening attempted a doubtful run between runners and was disappointed, then was held up on heels for the entirety of the home straight. App. Aho was cautioned against attempting to improve into runs where there is insufficient room.Race 7: XMAS Eve Racing BenchMark 55 Handicap - 1300 metres1st - DUBYAGO 2nd - COVENTRY 3rd - EURONGILLY 4th - ORATRY CANDENTE - Broke through the front of the barriers, was quickly restrained by its rider, examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start. Raced wide throughout.COVENTRY - Raced keenly in the early stages.STRUTTER - Approaching the 900 metres was buffeted between runners and lost ground. ELLE THE MODEL - Passing the 900 metres improved onto heels and had to be steadied.
