Race 1: Pumpers Trackside Party QTIS 2-Y-O Handicap - 1050 metres
1st CRAIGLEA AMITY 2nd MIM'S POET 3rd MISHANI SHIRAZ - 4th - CRAIGLEA BARINA

CRAIGLEA ODYSSEY - Bumped at the start.

MISHANI SHIRAZ - Bumped at the start. Rounding the turn near the 800 metres bumped with another runner.

MISHANI BELIEVER - Near the 800 metres was bumped by another runner.

Race 2: Fiesta Rentals Class 4 Handicap - 1050 metres
1st LOKUM 2nd GUTZ CI 3rd GINA BALERINA 4th - HUNCHA DUNCHA

OUR SINGLE DOUBT - Late scratching, at 7.33 a.m., by order of the stewards.

LOKUM - Slow to begin. Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the home straight.

NEWSPAPER - Bumped at the start. Jockey P. Cullen reported that his mount never travelled comfortably, was inclined to lay out throughout the event and felt awkward in its action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be stiff in both hind legs and displaying a poor recovery rate.

GUTZ CI - Bumped at the start.

GINA BALLERINA - Raced keenly throughout the early part of the race and was inclined to lay out.

HUNCHA DUNCHA - Was fractious in the barriers and when the start was effected Jockey N. Day lost the use of his nearside iron, which placed him at a significant disadvantage, then near the 300 metres he was able to get his other foot out of the iron, ultimately resulting in him having no use of his irons for the remainder of the race.

SUSSEX STREET - In the float en route to the course sustained a minor laceration to the off foreleg, was examined by the Club's veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field. On returning to scale Jockey S. Wilson reported that the mare failed to travel comfortably at any stage and in his opinion did not handle the soft track conditions.

Race 3: Daily Mercury Class 3 Plate - 1300 metres
1st - HAKKASAN 2nd PERFECT RAINBOW 3rd SUPER KANGAROO 4th - LAMERICAN

ISTALENA - Slow to begin. Approaching the 200 metres was disappointed for a run and had to be shifted wider to improve.

SUPER KANGAROO - Raced keenly in the early stages. Passing the 100 metres brushed by another runner.

LAMERICAN - Laid in over the concluding stages.

PERFECT RAINBOW - Passing the 100 metres shifted in under pressure and brushed with another runner.

Following the running of this race a delegation of senior riders approached stewards with concerns regarding visibility. Acting on these concerns, expressed on behalf of the majority of the riding group, stewards abandoned the remainder of the meeting.

Race 4: SEA FM Maiden Handicap - 1200 metres
1st 2nd - 3rd - 4th -

LI'L BIT GREEDY - When the track rating was downgraded to Soft (6) stewards acceded to an application by trainer J. Wehlow and permitted the late scratching of the mare at .
