Race 1: MTC 100 Club QTIS 2-Y-O Maiden Handicap - 1050 metres
1st  - BOLD ENDEAVOUR  2nd  -  CRAIGLEA CETINA  3rd  -  CRAIGLEA ELEGANCE  4th  -  CRAIGLEA WARKAT
 
CRAIGLEA WARKAT - Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by trainer Ms K. Johnston for the late notification of Apprentice D. Evans as rider of the gelding. Shifted out down the running, inconveniencing another runner and was quickly straightened.
 
CRAIGLEA OMEGA - Slowly away after jumping in abruptly at the start.
 
CRAIGLEA RIO - Slowly away after beginning awkwardly. Inclined to race greenly down the running.
 
ACELA - Raced greenly in the early stages. Near the 150 metres slightly inconvenienced by another runner, which shifted in. Rider D. Simmons dropped his whip near the 100 metres.
 
BOLD ENDEAVOUR - Slow to begin and was inclined to lay in under pressure down the running.

 
 
Race 2:  4MK BenchMark 60 Handicap  - 1560 metres
1st  SLADE AMIGOS  -  2nd  -  BROQUALO 3rd   -  MYSTIC HARMONY  4th  -  WULFIES LADY   
 
 
SAID WRITTEN - Late scratching, at 11.20 a.m., by order of the stewards.
 
WULFIES LADY - Shortly after straightening for home shifted out and inconvenienced MYSTIC HARMONY.  Rider Apprentice K. Krogh was reprimanded under.
 
SLADE AMIGOS -  Began awkwardly then raced 3 wide without cover in the early stages.
 
RAPIDSET - Raced wide on straightening for home. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the mare had sustained a laceration to the near hind fetlock.
 
THREE HENRYS - Was inclined to over-race in the early and middle stages. Raced wide on straightening. Jockey N. Day reported that in his opinion the gelding had failed to back up following its most recent start, after a break of 5 days. Connections reported that the gelding was making an unusual respiratory noise on pulling up. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any significant abnormalities, apart from a slightly irregular respiratory sound.  Trainer J. Manzelmann advised stewards that it is now his intention to spell the gelding.
 
Race 3  -  Smart State Rentals Maiden Handicap -  1050 metres
1st  -  INSOLVENT  2nd  -  NIGHT LILY  3rd  -  BELMONT TURF BELLE 4th  -  MAGITORIAL
 
MISS INQUISITIVE -  Was fractious in the barriers and delayed the start. Was slow to begin after bumping another runner.
 
MAGITORIAL - Inclined to hang out down the running.
 
NIGHT LILY - Bumped with another runner on jumping.
 
BOLD INDI - Shifted out shortly after the start and crowded another runner.
 
LIGHTNING ARTIST - Slowly away, then was crowded by another runner soon after the start.
 
MOONLIT CLOUD - Was inclined to over-race in the middle stages and raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
PRINCE OF MINE - Jockey L. Attard reported that the colt, which was having its first race start, was inclined to race greenly.
 
HAMPDEN BOY - Slowly away, and raced wide for the majority of the event.
BELMONT TURF BELLE - Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
Race 4: Whitson & Dawson Ratings Band 0 - 55 Handicap  -  1050 metres
1st  -  ELSPETH'S STAR  2nd  -  THE TEENY HASS  3rd   -  KAP IT OFF  4th  -  HARCOURT STREET  

THE TEENY HASS - Slowly away after beginning awkwardly. Had to be steadied when placed in restricted room for a short distance near the 800 metres.
 
FUJIN - Shifted out momentarily and inconvenienced another runner near the 300 metres. Held up on heels for a short distance on straightening when another runner shifted out marginally.
 
SILENT RAGE - Crowded for room on jumping.
 
DUAN THEO - Crowded for room on jumping. Had to be momentarily steadied near the 300 metres when awkwardly placed on heels.
 
DYNA CI - Shifted in on jumping and crowded runners to its inside. Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
BOCEPHUS - Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
Race 5: Channel 7 BenchMark 60 Handicap  -  1200 metres
1st -  FINAL HOPE  2nd -  LAMERICAN  3rd -  ROCKETTE ROCKET  4th -   LA PRENSA
 
ELITE ECHELON(Jockey T. Chambers) shifted in near the 800 metres and tightened the running of LA PRENSA (Jockey M. Haley) which had to be steadied. Jockey Chambers was reprimanded and advised to make a greater effort to keep her mounts straight in similar circumstances. Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority of the event.
 
BECCA THE JET - Slow into stride after being buffeted between runners on jumping.
 
FINAL HOPE - Inclined to over-race in the early stages. Laid in over the concluding stages.
 
MAHRAJAAN - Caught 3 wide without cover for the majority of the event. When questioned rider C. Bayliss stated that the gelding failed to respond to his riding over the concluding stages and in his opinion was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Race 6: UBET BenchMark 75 Handicap -  1300 metres
1st -  CRAIGLEA DEKEN  2nd -  OKAY SWIFT  3rd -  KNOWING ME  4th - DELIVERY
CASINO BENJO - Began awkwardly and when the tempo slow near the 1000m had to be restrained from heels and as a result shifted wider on the track and raced wide from that point onwards.
 
CRAIGLEA DEKEN - Shifted in under pressure near the 100 metres and was quickly straightened.
 
DELIVERY - Had to be checked near the 800 metres after improving into a narrow run to the inside of another runner.
 
Jockey B. Thomson was fined $100 under A.R. 137A for using her whip on OKAY SWIFT on 7 occasions prior to the 100 metres. In determining penalty stewards took into account Jockey Thomson's good record in relation to the rule.
 
Jockey P. Cullen was fined $100 under A.R. 137A for using his whip on CRAIGLEA DEKEN on 8 occasions prior to the 100 metres.
