Race 1:  Seven News Mackay Maiden Plate – 1100m
 
HER LUMINANCE – Began awkwardly and shifted out, bumping another runner and lost ground.  A post race veterinary examination revealed the filly injured its off front tendon. Trainer J. Campeo, was advised he must provide a veterinary clearance before the horse would be permitted to race again.
 
RAINBOW SNIP – Bumped by another runner at the start. Raced ungenerously in the early stages. Shifted out under pressure near the 200m, having to be corrected.
 
FAY ELEMENT – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
MURTAHOME – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Rider P. Romeo reported the gelding had a tendency to lay out for the majority of the race.
 
Race 2:  Hurree Equipment Repairs Ratings Band 0-65 H’cap – 1050m
 
HUNCHA DUNCHA – Slow to begin.
 
LE CHIFFRE – Slow to begin.  Steadied off heels near the 600m. Held up for clear running in the home straight from the 300m until near the 150m, when restrained to switch around the heels of runners in front. In this incident, LE CHIFFRE clipped heels and blundered. Jockey J. Stanley, rider of LE CHIFFRE, was severely reprimanded and advised to show greater care in similar circumstances.
 
GOWER – Unable to obtain clear running from approaching the 200m until near the 100m.
 
LET’S GO TO RIO – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
MIA HOST – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 3:  Smartstate Vehicle Rentals Class 6 Plate - 1200m
 
GLOBAL ROCKET – Slow to begin.
 
THANKGODFORFRANC – Slow to begin.
 
GINGERSNAP – Began awkwardly, losing ground.  Shifted ground outwards under pressure near the 200m.
 
OPTION – Had a tendency to over-race in the early stages.
 
RAGAZZO DEL CORSA – Raced wide in the early stages. When questioned into the performance, rider J. Stanley advised stewards that, in his opinion, the gelding raced flat today. Trainer J. O’Sing advised stewards that following today’s performance it is now his intention that the horse be sent for an immediate spell.
 
Race 4: Calcutta Luncheon Friday 13th July QTIS 3yo H’cap – 1050m
 
CITY SECRETS – Shifted out shortly after the start, bumping another runner and blundering.
 
CRAIGLEA VELVET – Bumped by another runner shortly after the start.
 
NATURE’S WAY – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
ELITE JET – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
ARARRAC – Shifted out near the 300m, bumping another runner.  Bumped by another runner near the 200m.
 
TOBASCO – Bumped on the hind quarters by another runner near the 300m, becoming unbalanced. Shifted in near the 200m, bumping another runner. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 5: Mackay Kitchen Benchmark 60 H’cap – 1300m
 
STRONG WILL – Was restrained near the 1250m and lost ground when crowded for room.
 
BAUHINIA SID – Approaching the 1250m had to be steadied and shifted out when inconvenienced by another runner, which shifted in. Shortly after shifted inwards, crowding another runner to its inside.
 
GREY SAMBUCCA – Jumped a miscoloured section of the track near the 1250m and shifted in, crowding runners to its inside.
 
PROFUSIVE - Steadied near the 1250m when inconvenienced by another runner.
 
MAGIC SCENCE – Raced ungenerously near the 800m, throwing its head in the air.
 
DASH OF WIZZARD – Raced wide in the early stages. Shifted out to improve leaving the 600m and had a tendency to lay in.
 
FASSLER – Was momentarily unbalanced near the 200m.
 
Race 6: Toxfree Open H’cap – 1560m
 
CRAIGLEA DEKEN – Held up for clear running soon after entering the straight and had a tendency to hang in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
VEGAS FLYER – Shifted in near the 150m, bumping another runner.
 
WORTHY HERO – Bumped near the 150m by another runner which shifted in.
 
I CAN I WILL I AM – Had difficulty obtaining clear running from the 250m until leaving the 100m.  Rider S. Wiseman pleaded guilty to a charge of failing to ride her mount out to the end of the race. Whilst stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that her actions had cost her third place, she was nevertheless fined the sum of $500.
 
LOKUM – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
BENTLES – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 7: Husqvarna Benchmark 55 H’cap – 1560m
 
GOLDEN DEPART – Delayed the start when proving very difficult to load. Trainer J. Manzelmann was advised that he must provide a further barrier certificate prior to the gelding being permitted to race again. A post-race veterinary examination of the horse revealed a laceration to the near shoulder.
 
HE’S ALL HEART – Slow to begin.
 
WINSOMEMORE – Slow to begin.
 
OUR CINDEREELLA – Made the 1350m turn very awkwardly and was restrained.
 
KILLER LOVE – Raced wide in the early stages.  
 
CASTASTROPHE KISS – Rider W. D’Avila was cautioned in regards to his use of the whip on a horse out of contention.
 
SIDTHEKID – Rider P. Cullen was cautioned in regards to his use of the whip on a horse out of contention.
