Race 1: MACKAY BLUES ROCK SESSION 6TH JULY CLASS 6 PLATE – 1560M
 
BARBADOS STORM – Slow to begin. Shifted in near the 1300m, brushed WINSOMEMORE and became unbalanced.
 
POINT FORWARD – Shifted out when overracing near the 900m, progressed forward and raced three wide for the remainder of the event.
 
Race 2: STARCUT FLOWERS QTIS 2YO MAIDEN H’CAP – 1200M
 
GEE EYE – Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the event. Raced greenly near the 500m. Made the home turn awkwardly.
 
LEGAL ASSET – Raced three wide with cover.
 
ARJAYCEE – Bumped on jumping away.
 
BUSH BEAT ROCKET – Slow to begin and a short distance later was tightened between runners. Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
TABATHA MISS – Began awkwardly.
 
Race 3: ERIC HANSEN MEMORIAL MAIDEN H’CAP – 1100M
 
LOTS OF INTEREST – Hung out passing the 600m and then raced greenly thereafter before weakening over the concluding stages.
 
DRUMEOUS – Had to be steadied at the 600m when momentarily tightened for room.
 
RAPTCHA’U – P. Romeo was reprimanded for failing to ride his mount out fully to the end of the race. Stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that his actions had cost his mount 5th place.
 
MIGHTY MEERKAT – Tightened at the start and lost ground. Laid in under pressure near the 300m and a short distance later the nearside rein became entangled in the horse’s mane, placing rider G. Watson at a disadvantage for a short distance.
 
MUDDY PUDDLE DAY – Raced four wide without cover for the majority of the event.
 
THE VOLTO – Raced three wide throughout.
 
Race 4: CANELAND CENTRAL MACKAY TURF GIRL QTIS 3YO MAIDEN H’CAP – 1300M
 
DESPIRITO – J. Stanley was fined $100 for using the whip on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100m.
 
TOP RUNG – Began awkwardly.
 
STARS DON’T RUST – Slow to begin.
 
ACEEM – Bumped heavily with CRAIGLEA ARION approaching the 400m when attempting to shift out to improve.
 
PRIVATE CLIENT – Laid out rounding the home turn. Following the event it was reported that the horse’s tongue-tie became displaced during the running of the race.
 
GREY FALCON – Slow to begin.
 
CRAIGLEA ARION – Became unbalanced approaching the 400m when improving three wide after being bumped on a number of occasions by ACEEM.
 
NOBLE SQUAW – Began awkwardly. Overraced in the middle stages of the event. Momentarily held up near the 200m.
 
Race 5: MACKAY TURF GIRL RACEDAY 27TH APRIL CLASS 2 H’CAP – 1300M
 
LADY BEC – Began awkwardly. Disappointed for a run passing the 100m and was then obliged to shift out to obtain clear running a short distance later.
 
CORNISH TALES – Allowed to stride forward to the position outside the leader at the 1100m after being caught wide in the early stages of the event. Commenced to overrace after passing the 900m, resulting in the saddle on the gelding shifting back, placing its rider at a disadvantage for the remainder of the event.
 
LADY MIRABELLA – Eased out of the event by its rider shortly after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the near fore sesamoid. The mare was treated on course and then transported to the Northern Beaches Veterinary Hospital for further treatment. Trainer O. Cairns was advised that the mare will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.
 
Race 6: MCDONALD MURPHY MACHINERY CLASS 3 PLATE – 1100M
 
ACADEMY HILL – Inclined to lay in rounding the home turn. Bumped passing the 200m by SHAHQA, which shifted out to improve.
 
AUTHADANE – Reared on jumping and lost ground. Overraced in the early stages of the event. Improved to the inside of the heels of OTTO’S BROTHER approaching the 600m and had to be checked.
 
SHAHQA – Began awkwardly. Shifted out abruptly passing the 200m and bumped ACADEMY HILL.
 
NO FINER JET – Shifted out under pressure near the 200m.
 
OTTO’S BROTHER – Crowded on jumping away.
 
CRAIGLEA CETINA – Began awkwardly.
 
LITTLE BIT OF SUZY – Bumped on the hind quarters by SHAHQA on jumping away, was turned inwards and became unbalanced.
 
Race 7: SMARTSTATE VEHICLE RENTALS OPEN H’CAP – 1200M
 
GOLDEN MANE – Slow to begin.
 
SHORELINE – Hampered shortly after the start.
 
LOKUM – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
DANE CHEVAL – Began awkwardly. Raced four wide without cover.
