GENERAL
 
As C. Whiteley was not riding at today’s meeting due to transport difficulties, he was replaced as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.
 
Race 1: EASYLOC MAIDEN H’CAP – 1200M
 
STAR BANNER – Overraced in the early stages.
 
JUST UNREEL – Proved difficult to load, delaying the start. Trainer J. Campeao was advised that a warning would be placed on the mare’s barrier manners. Steadied and shifted out to avoid the heels of another runner near the 600m. Shifted out to avoid the heels of a tiring runner near the 200m.
 
LONROADTOFLY – Slow to begin.
 
CAPTAIN TOM – After beginning with the field, then strode awkwardly for a short distance and lost ground.
 
TWISTED SUCCESS – Restrained near the 600m to avoid the heels of another runner.
 
Race 2: WOOLLAMS QTIS 3YO H’CAP – 1300M
 
SUMMER SALT – Overraced in the early stages.
 
LA REMINISTA – Slow to begin.
 
VAMPARINA – Laid in under pressure in the home straight, proving difficult to ride out.
Race 3: CHERYL GREEN TANNING CLASS 3 PLATE – 1050M
 
STORMINA – Declared a late scratching at 7:40 am. Pending any further submissions, trainer S. Rundle will be fined the sum of $100 for failing to scratch STORMINA by the prescribed time.
 
EMBERSPEED – Reared simultaneously as the start was effected and lost considerable ground, taking no competitive part in the race. As stewards deemed this to be attributable to the horse’s barrier manners, EMBERSPEED was declared a runner. Trainer T. Bannon was advised that she must obtain a further barrier certificate prior to the horse being permitted to race again.
 
RAINING DOLLARS – Laid in under pressure in the home straight, proving difficult to ride out.
 
TELL EVERYBODY – Commenced to overrace when being restrained in the early stages and as a result raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
Race 4: LASER CLINICS AUSTRALIA MACKAY BENCHMARK 65 H’CAP – 1560M
 
BACKHOUSE BILLY – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
OPTION – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Inclined to overrace in the middle stages.
 
WINSOMEMORE – Had a tendency to overrace in the middle stages.
 
GLOBAL ROCKET – Slow to begin.
 
Race 5: MOJO’S BENCHMARK 69 H’CAP – 1200M
 
STELLAR KNIGHT – Began awkwardly.
 
DEVILS PINCH – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
LET’S GO TO RIO – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
HEYINGTON – Held up for clear running in the home straight until approaching the 200m.
 
Race 6: BLUE RIVER LANDSCAPE SUPPLIES CLASS 2 H’CAP – 1300M
 
TESTA BOOM – Tightened between runners shortly after the start and lost ground.
 
QUESTIONS ANSWERED – Laid out shortly after the start, tightening runners to its outside. Restrained from heels for a short distance leaving the 800m.
 
FAIRFACTS – Raced ungenerously for a short distance when crossed by another runner near the 700m.
 
HOSTILE LILY – After initially being engaged as the replacement rider for C. Whiteley, R. Wiggins was unable to fulfil the engagement due to being overweight and was replaced by N. Thomas as the rider. Due to circumstances, stewards noted the explanation.
 
SOUND INVESTMENT – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
HE’S TERRYFIED – Overraced in the middle stages.
 
MISHANI LA SCALA – Examined by the veterinary surgeon behind the barriers at the request of the rider and was cleared to start. Raced ungenerously near the 800m and lost ground.
 
Race 7: TAB RATINGS BAND 0 – 55 H’CAP – 1100M
 
COHESION – Improved on to heels near the 650m and shifted out when being steadied, tightening runners to its outside.
 
TA CHANSON – Bumped by another runner on jumping.
 
DRAGON PINS – Unable to secure clear running on entering the home straight until near the 150m.
 
JUZOU – Raced wide for the majority of the event. Apprentice A. Spinks dropped his whip near the 50m.
 
SHE’S ON POINT – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
TARTUFO BIANCO – Began awkwardly. Inconvenienced near the 650m and shifted in, bumping the inside running rail.
 
CHEEKY MILA – Raced wide for the majority of the event. Laid in at the 650m, despite the efforts of its rider, tightening runners to its inside.
 
ELEGANT ZOUS – Jumped out at the start, making contact with another runner.
 
EDITH MARGARET – Tightened for room at the 650m and was restrained.
