General
 
Due to transport difficulties, Jockey L. Tilley was unable to arrive at the racecourse until the conclusion of Race 2, and riding replacements were made as per the Stewards Summary Sheet.
 
Due to transport difficulties, Apprentice Z. White was unable to arrive at the racecourse prior to her riding engagement and was replaced as per the Stewards Summary.
 
Race 1: Blacks Real Estate QTIS 2yo Maiden H’cap – 1050m
 
OLLIE’S STAND – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start.  Slowly away after beginning awkwardly.
 
DACXI KABOOM – Slow to begin.  Bumped by another runner soon after jumping. Raced greenly for a short distance after the start.
 
FINAL CRIME – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
OUR STORMY GIRL – Proved difficult to load, delaying the start. Trainer P. Fleming was advised that he must obtain a further barrier certificate for the filly prior to it again being permitted to start in a race.
 
SERIOUSTEMPTATION – Bumped with another runner soon after jumping.
 
DACXI DELIVERS – Raced greenly under pressure in the home straight.  
Race 2:  Next Accounting Maiden H’cap 1300m
 
CERTIFIED – Broke through the front of the barriers prior to the start. Was quickly restrained, then underwent a veterinary examination behind the barriers, clearing the gelding to start.  Slow to begin. Finished tailed off. Trainer Mr J. Campeao was advised the gelding’s nomination would be refused at TAB meetings until its form improved by way of country meetings.
 
FEATHER YOUR NEST – Slow to begin. Jockey M. Haley was cautioned in relation to the use of his whip prior to the 100m.
 
MISS RAGDOLL – Slow to begin.
 
DUBAI ME A SAGA – Slow to begin.
 
TICKET KEEPER – Began awkwardly. Laid in over the concluding stages. Bumped by another runner approaching the winning post.
 
MOSEF – Laid out over the concluding stages, bumping with another runner approaching the winning post.
 
MIGHTY MEERKAT – Laid out under pressure leaving the 200m. Rider S. Wiseman was fined the sum of $100 in that she returned to scale in excess of .5 kg of its allotted weight. 
 
Race 3: Michael Horne – NAB Class 3 Plate – 1300m
 
SFILZA – The mare underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
YOU KNOW THE ONE – Baulked on jumping, losing considerable ground. Trainer W. Pomfrett, was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s barrier manners.
 
DEEJAYBEAT – Slow to begin.
 
DIAMOND DIVA – Slow to begin. Shifted out around heels to obtain clear running near the 250m.
 
KANUI – Began awkwardly. When questioned into the seemingly improved performance, trainer T. McGovern advised stewards he had only recently taken over the training of the gelding and as the owner of the gelding he was not disappointed with its previous run in Cairns 23/11/2019. Mr McGovern explained that in his opinion the horse had improved since that run and had pleased him in its lead up to today’s event adding further that the shorter distance had also been beneficial to its performance today. Stewards noted his explanation.     
 
ALL ZED AND DONE – Shifted out near the 1200m, becoming awkward on heels, having to be steadied. Over-raced for some distance from that point.
 
WITH TRUST – Raced wide for the majority of the race. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
Race 4: S.H. Tait & Co Chartered Accountants Ratings Band 0-60 H’cap – 1560m
 
CHANDON KISSES – Jockey W. O’Connell was unable to fulfil his engagement due to acceptable reasons and was replaced by jockey P. Romeo.
 
RUFFY ROAD – Fractious in the barriers and lunged forward just prior to the start being effected.
 
JUSTALAD – Slow to begin.
 
MEATBALL – Began awkwardly.
 
CELEBRATION DAY – Shifted in under pressure near the 300m.
 
ZABRING – Shifted in near the 300m to obtain clear running, hampering another runner. Jockey L. Tilley was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
 
LONROADTOFLY – Had to be restrained when hampered by another runner near the 300m.
 
Race 5: Poolwerx Class 6 Plate – 1560m
 
WAS IT WORTH IT – Prior to the race connections advised stewards that an attempt would be made to ride the gelding in a more forward position if circumstances permit. A public announcement was made to this effect. Raced accordingly.
 
HEYINGTON – Delayed the start when difficult to load.  Stood flatfooted as the barriers opened, losing considerable ground. Trainer R. Binder was advised that the gelding would require 2 further consecutive barrier certificates prior to again being permitted to start in a race.
 
PROFUSIVE – Over-raced in the early stages.
 
SATURN OPS – Shifted wider leaving the 800m in order to improve. Raced wide from that point onwards.
 
FRATELLINO – Jockey D. Simmons was cautioned in relation to his use of the whip prior to the 100m.
 
Race 6:  Fiesta Rentals Benchmark 69 H’cap – 1100m
 
TRERICE – Stewards accepted the explanation from trainer T. Bannon for the late declaration of N. Seymour as the rider of the horse. Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
SWEET SURPRISE – Its saddle shifted to near side on jumping placing rider C. Whiteley at a disadvantage.
 
GOLDEN MANE – Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
FAVOR OF GOD – Slow to begin.
 
OUR BOY PENDLES – Inconvenienced for a short distance when racing in restricted near the 800m.
 
 SOLOMON – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
COHESION – Momentarily held up for clear running in the early part of the home straight.
 
GOLDEN MANE – Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. .
 
Race 7:  TAB Ratings Band 0-55 H’cap – 1100m
 
STARS DON’T RUST – Slow to begin. Shifted out soon after the start bumping another runner. Restrained off heels near the 600m.
 
CINNABARBOW – Slow to begin.
 
IDLE JACK – Restrained a short distance after the start when crowded for room.
 
GREAT WINGS – Steadied when crossed by another runner near the 850m. Restrained after improving onto heels near the 600m.
 
FINE ELSEWHERE – Bumped on the hind quarters soon after start becoming unbalanced. Raced greenly in the home straight.
 
TRIDACNA – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
RAPTCHA’U – Raced wide for the majority of the race.  
 
TEN GOLD POLO – Post race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to its off hind heel.
