Race 1: TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY QTIS Two-Year-Old Handicap 1050 metres
 
The start of this race was delayed approximately 2 mins owing to both CODY ALTEM and TAHLIA GOLD being required to be resaddled on arrival at the barriers.
 
YARRALINDA – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
SHESAYSTHANKS – Overraced in the early stages of the event. Jockey B Appo advised that the filly got its tongue over the bit and in his opinion derive benefit with the application of a tongue tie.
 
TAHLIA GOLD – Hampered on jumping away and failed to muster early speed. Rider reported that her saddle slipped on entering the home straight placing her at a disadvantage over the concluding stages.
 
 
Race 2: HAWAIIAN CHRISTMAS RACEDAY QTIS Three-Year-Old Handicap 1300 metres
 
ASK ME TOMORROW – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
OSWANA – A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
SONEYMAR STAR – Approaching the 100m was disappointed for a run to the inside of COURTESY BUS and had to be shift out across heels to improve into clear running.
 
 
 
Race 3: CUSTOM FLUIDPOWER Class 6 Plate 1200 metres
 
FLEWSHOT – Slow to begin.
 
UMBERTO – Slow to begin.
 
CHINCHINBILLA – Apprentice D Graham rider of CHINCHINBILLA was fined the sum of $600 for using her whip on 8 occasions, 3 more then permitted under the rule.
 
 
Race 4:  MCDONALD MURPHY MACHINERY Maiden Handicap 1100 metres
 
BUSTEDUP – Raced wide throughout.
 
TEELING – Overraced in the early stages.
 
DO IT FOR VIV – Raced three wide throughout. When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, Jockey N Day stated that his mount never felt comfortable at any stage of the event and had concerns with the action of DO IT FOR VIV when entering the home straight and as such elected to not place his mount under pressure. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near hind leg. Trainer S Sigvart was advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to a future race start.
 
MOSCOW MISTRESS – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
ENRAGED – A post race veterinary examination revealed a small laceration to the nearside nostril.
 
 
Race 5: JOIN EXCLUSIVE 100 CLUB Class 3 Handicap 1100 metres
 
TOWER ROAD – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
ANCIENT ECHOES – Race wide throughout. Apprentice D Graham rider of ANCIENT ECHOES was fined the sum of $600 for using her whip on 7 occasions, 2 more than permitted under the rule.
 
BLACK JAGUAR – Jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride. S Sweeney rider of BLACK JAGUAR was reprimanded for using her whip on 7 occasions, 2 more than permitted under the rule.
 
MYZABOOM – Hung rounding the hometurn. Trainer J Manzelmann was advised a warning would be placed on the mare. Trainer advised stewards that he would experiment with gear prior to accepting for a future start.
 
 
Race 6:  MACKAY TURF CLUB EVENT CENTRE BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 1300 metres
 
ALONEINABAA – Had to be restrained approaching the 1000m after improving onto heels. Overraced for the remainder of the event.
 
CONQUERING JUDAS – Was held up for clear running over the concluding stages on the heels of CRUISE POWER and was unable to be fully tested to the line.
 
VAMPARINA – Overraced in the early stages.
