Raced keenly throughout the middle stages. MAYA'S SONG – Began awkwardly. YUBETIDO – Began awkwardly. Shifted out near the 900m tightening another runner to the outside. Raced wide without cover from the 750m. Inclined to lay in when placed under pressure in the home straight. CAMO'S DREAM – Raced wide without cover in the early stages before obtaining a leading position near the 900m. Tailed off in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Trainer. J Campeao was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding. LITTLE IVY – Placed in restricted room and forced to steady near the 900m when YUBETIDO shifted out marginally and MONEY TRAVELS shifted in marginally. MONEY TRAVELS – Began awkwardly making contact with IRON MASK. YUFCALLEDCHARLIE – Raced keenly during the early stages. Race 2: BECOME A MEMBER OF THE MTC Class 3 Plate 1300 metres BRIGALOW BOY – Raced wide without cover before obtaining the leading position near the 850m. Raced keenly for the majority. YUAN FEN – Shifted out under pressure in the early part of the home straight. LISTEN MATE – Raced keenly through the early and middle stages. Raced wide without cover HAVANNAH SUNSET – Began awkwardly. MISS PIERRO – Slow to begin. Race 3: SMARTSTATE RENTALS OPEN Handicap 1100 metres Following the event the track was upgraded to a Soft (5) retrospective to race three. OUR BOY PENDLES – Gave ground over the final stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities FRATELLINO – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. PROANE – Began awkwardly. KAHAYLAAN – Slow to begin. Raced wide without cover throughout the early and middle stages. Race 4: RACING AGAIN TUESDAY 15TH MARCH BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1100 metres The declaration of correct weight was delayed following the running of the race to allow the Stewards, the Judge and Jockey N. Day to view the photo finish image following the decision of a dead heat between fourth placed runners SECLUSION and MIND GAME. After consultation with all parties, the judge election to amend his decision to the following: 1ST – DR NEIGH 2ND – CATMOSPHERE 3RD – CHATILLY 4TH – SECLUSION 5TH – MIND GAME DR NEIGH – Held up from the 500m until the early part of the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils. Trainer T. Cook was advised the horse would be barred form racing for a period of three months and would be required to complete a satisfactory 1000m gallop in the presence of Stewards. CATMOSPHERE – Began awkwardly. Race wide in the early stages. WREN PLUCKED – Hung out rounding the home turn. HARD CURRENCY – Slow to begin. CHEYENNE BEACH – Improved onto heels and was forced to steady leaving the 700m. Raced in restricted room for a short distance near the 500m. MIND GAME – Laid in for a short distance near the 300m. CHATILLY – Raced wide without cover for the majority. Race 5: QTIS JEWEL QUALIFIER 3YO Plate 1200 metres FIRE KING – Began awkwardly making contact with ANNIEMARIAH. COCHRANE – Raced wide throughout. Placed in restricted room for a short distance near the 200m when MAGNETIC DRIVE laid in despite the best efforts of its rider. MILKY ROCKET –As the colt raced at Townsville on Tuesday 22nd February 2022, it underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was subsequently passed fit to start. Raced in restricted room near the 400m and again near the 200m when MAGNETIC DRIVE laid in despite the best efforts of its rider. MUZZLETOP – Raced in restricted room and lost ground shortly after the start when CALPURNIA shifted out marginally. SWEET DOLLY – When questioned regarding the performance Jockey J. Stanley advised that his mount travelled well until a point near the 400m where in his opinion it became awkward in its action and failed to respond when placed under pressure. Jockey Stanley further added that it was his opinion that horse would derive a fitness benefit from todays run and would expect it to improve at its next start. Stewards noted Jockey Stanley’s explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to have sustained a laceration to the off-hind cornet. AGUSTAWYND – Raced wide in the early stages. ANNIEMARIAH – Bumped on jumping. MAGNETIC DRIVE – Raced in restricted room near the 900m and forced to steady. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. CALPURNIA – Began awkwardly. Shifted out shortly after the start tightening another runner to the outside. Tailed off in the home straight taking no further competitive part in the event. Trainer J Mazelmann was advised the horse will be barred from racing at all TAB venues until its form improves. Jockey P. Cullen was fined $300 under AR132(6)(c) for his use of the whip when his mount was out of contention. LITTLE MISS PEGGY – Slow to begin. Race 6: BOOK FOR AMATEURS SATURDAY 28TH MAY BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1560 metres The start was delayed when SEBERTON proved difficult to load. As a result, trainer J. Wehlow was advised the gelding would be required to obtain a further barrier certificate prior to next racing. The start was further delayed when LADY SNITCH proved difficult to load. SALSA DREAMING – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly during the early stages. Held up from the 500m until the early part of the home straight. RUFFIN' IT (NZ) – Raced keenly in the early stages. NO HARM DONE – Raced keenly in the early stages. SEBERTON – Tightened for room shortly after the start and lost ground. Raced wide without cover before obtaining a position outside the leader near the 600m. Weakened over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. TAVI MCBRIDE (NZ) – Began awkwardly. LADY SNITCH – Began awkwardly. Bumped LETS TORQUE A DEEL shortly after the start. Raced wide without cover for the majority.
