Race 1: TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY QTIS Three-Year-Old Handicap 1100 metres CHINNY BOOM – Jumped outwards at the start bumping FORTY FOUR FLYER.MISHANI REBOUND – Hung in under pressure. CITY MISSION – Stood flat footed and was very slow to begin. SHE'S WINNING – Hung in under pressure. FORTY FOUR FLYER – Bumped after the start. Raced keenly during the early and middle stages. Race 2: BOOK FOR MELB CUP RACEDAY TUES 1ST NOV OPEN Handicap 1100 metres JAY JAY – Bumped on jumping. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. Brushed with MISHANI REBEL near the 50m. MISHANI REBEL – Brushed with JAY JAY near the 50m. MILKY ROCKET – Began awkwardly CADDY – Began awkwardly. Race 3: HORSE OF THE YEAR CABALO ESCURO Maiden Plate 1100 metres DENIMS – Began awkwardly. DIRTY OR DRY – Bumped on jumping. Shifted in at the 1000m despite the best efforts of its riders. Hung in on occasions during the run. KEEP ON FIGHTING – Began awkwardly. Shifted out abruptly near the 600m. REAL SHEEK – Bumped on jumping. Raced in restricted room for a short distance near the 1000m. IT'S A PEARLER – Jumped inwards badly at the start. Hung in noticeably throughout when racing 3 wide. A warning has now been issued against the racing manners of the mare. SADLER'S MISS – Bumped on jumping. TYCOON TORI – Jumped awkwardly. Race 4: LEADING JOCKEY/APPRENTICE TAHLIA FENLON BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 1100 metres CAPTAIN FOX – Tightened on jumping. COCHRANE – Reared at the start and lost considerable ground. CURVETTA – Jumped awkwardly. TRIPTONIC – Cast the off fore plate in running. CHAMPAGNE AT DAWN – Slow to begin. POET'S GIRL – Laid out entering the home straight. Race 5: LEADING TRAINER OLIVIA CAIRNS BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1800 metres ARCTIC WOLF – The on-course ambulance officers examined Jockey Ashley Butler subsequent to the event and he was found to be suffering dehydration and was stood down from riding for the remainder of the meeting. Mr Butler has been stood down from riding until he presents a medical clearance. GHOSTED – Jumped awkwardly resulting in jockey Tasha Chambers striking her left foot solidly on the barrier structure. MISHANI TULIP – Apprentice Tahlia Fenlon advised that the mare failed to improve wide over the final 400m and was inclined to lay inwards. Miss Fenlon also added that she was of the view that MISHANI TULIP is better suited when able to race closer to the inside rail and proved to be disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities. CHICO – Laid in under pressure. Race 6: SMARTSTATE RENTALS Class 4 Handicap 1300 metres RED PERONI – Raced ungenerously during the middle stages when being restrained back away from the leader. Inclined to lay in under pressure.IN ORDER – Bumped on jumping. Apprentice Tahlia Fenlon advised that the mare travelled reasonably well, however failed to respond from the 500m and in her view raced flat. Trainer Clinton Taylor was at a loss to explain the disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination of IN ORDER failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.AGUSTAWYND – Bumped on jumping.NO HARM DONE – Bumped on jumping. Race 7: RACING AGAIN SATURDAY 1ST OCTOBER RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 Handicap 1300 metres BETTER DAYS AHEAD – Shifted ground outwards under pressure in the home straight. BLACKSHAW – Bumped on jumping. MERIDA'S BOW – Bumped on jumping. Raced wide for the majority.MISS PIERRO – Slow to begin. SO FIRED UP – Bumped on jumping. THE ABYSS (NZ) – Bumped on jumping.
