GENERAL
 
Stewards permitted the following weight variances:

Race 1:LADBROKE IT! BM60 HCP – 1800M
 
SHADOW GODDESS – Bumped by ZELSON at the start.
 
CONQUERING JUDAS – Jumped awkwardly at the start.
 
ZELSON – Bumped SHADOW GODDESS at the start. Laid in rounding the home turn.
 
FROM THIS MOMENT –Trainer M Geaney advised stewards that FROM THIS MOMENT would be attempted to be ridden with cover if circumstances permit settled accordingly. Overraced in the early stages when attempting to obtain cover.
 
Race 2: LADBROKES RACING CLUB QTIS 3YO MDN HCP – 1050M
 
HE’S THE ONE – Steadied for a stride when taken in onto MOON OVER MATILDA shortly after the start by DONMORE GIRL.
 
MISHANI CRUISE – Hung in under pressure for the majority of the home straight.
 
AGNES WATERS – Nearing the 200m was bumped heavily by SUPER CHEAP which shifted out and HARSH TRUTH shifting in.
 
HARSH TRUTH – Race wide throughout.
 
MOON OVER MATILDA – Buffed between runners shortly after the start.
 
SUPER CHEAP – Nearing the 200m became awkwardly placed on the heels of MOON OVER MATILDA after heavily bumping the hindquarters of AGNES WATERS.
 
MISHANI TWILIGHT – Slow to begin and failed to muster any speed.
 
MISHANI TYCOON – Was declared a late scratching at 2:14pm after rearing in the barrier and getting its legs over the gate. Trainer J Manzelmann was advised that the gelding would require a barrier and vet certificate prior to next start.
 
Prior to the declaration of correct weight all monies invested on both runners were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions to be applied to all successful wagers placed prior to 2:14pm:
 
0 cents in the dollar for the win (DONMORE GIRL)
0 cents in the dollar for the place
3 cents in the dollar for the second (MISHANI CRUISE)
2 cents in the dollar for the third (HE’S THE ONE)
 
After the running of this race, the track was upgraded to a Good 3
 
Race 3: SMARTSTATE RENTALS MDN HCP – 1200M
 
CHUCKA TANTY – Buffed between runners shortly after the start.
 
ROCKY REBEL – Raced wide throughout.
 
JUST LIKE ROSIE – Raced wide throughout.
 
C’EST BELLE – Raced wide throughout.
 
STILLWATER – Hung in under pressure down the home straight.
 
 
Race 4: BOOK FOR CHRISTMAS MEETING SATURDAY 16TH DECEMBER BM 70 HCP – 1200M
 
GOLDEN ATHENA – Near the 1000m commenced to over race and had to be steadied off the heels of TYCOON BABY.
 
REAL KEY – When questioned regarding the performance jockey A Butler stated that after beginning unexpectedly well, he elected to make use of the gate speed and take up a leading position. He added REAL KEY travelled well throughout and when he asked the gelding for an effort upon straightening, his mount failed to respond and went to the line in a disappointing manner. Trainer M Cochrane stated that although he was surprised to see REAL KEY in a prominent leading position, after viewing the films and speaking with jockey A Butler, he understood the circumstances REAL KEY found itself in. He added he would attempt to have the gelding ridden further back in its next start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
TOTO – When questioned on the performance of his mount Jockey J Stanley advised that TOTO jumped away well but then shortly after the start, felt stiff in its action and failed to finish the race off. A post-race veterinary examination revealed TOTO had lost both front shoes with no further abnormalities being detected. Trainer G Hughes stated he would report back to stewards on the condition of TOTO in the days subsequent.
 
TYCOON BABY – Lost her off hind shoe in the run.
 
Race 5: LADBROKES ODDS SURGE C3 HCP – 1050M
 
HARVESTA – Commenced to over race and hung in from the 800m to the home turn placing apprentice Webb at a severe disadvantage.
 
WINTILLY – Raced wide throughout.
 
ACT OF ROYALTY – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
MISS RINEHART – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after being kicked by another runner in the race day stalls and was cleared to race. Approaching the 600m commenced to over race and had to be checked off the heels of ACT OF ROYALTY.
 
Race 6: RACING AGAIN THURSDAY 30TH NOVEMBER OPEN HCP – 1560M
 
ECHO POINT – Brushed with SCHAPPOSE (NZ) nearing the 1400m.
 
SAVVY LEGEND (NZ) – Slow to begin.
 
THE DRILLER – Momentarily held up over the concluding stages.
 
VALLEY OF DREAMS – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
SCHAPPOSE (NZ) – Approaching the 1400m shifted out marginally and became awkwardly placed on the heels of SAVVY SOVEREIGN (NZ) when brushing with ECHO POINT.
 
GRANT’S PATCH – Began awkwardly. Jockey A Sewell was fined $500 under AR131(b) for failing to ride his mount to the finishing line, which in the opinion of the stewards cost his mount 4th place.
 
ROCK ‘N’ SOL – Fractious in the barrier prior to the start and missed the start as a result.
 
 
Race 7: HORIZON PROJECTS MACKAY C1 HCP – 1300M
 
SEISME – Taken wider and momentarily inconvenienced near the 200m when APRIL LOVE shifted out under pressure.
 
MISS SHALAA – Raced wide throughout.
 
LUCIA MARIA – Held up momentarily upon straightening.
 
APRIL LOVE – Shifted out under pressure near the 200m.
 
SHESABOMB – Missed the start. Raced wide throughout.
