Race 1: HAPPY 40th BIRTHDAY MICHELLE CLASS B HANDICAP 900m
 
BOLD EXPECTATIONS – Fractious in the barrier.
 
ARITOMO – Slowly away.
 
STYLE LINE - Slowly away.
 
MISSION ROAD – Raced wide throughout.
 
ROTHESAY MAGIC - Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 2: HTM COMPLETE/HORNER RACING QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1123m
 
GREYSERENE – After beginning awkwardly, shifted in bumping with another runner.
 
SUPER DANCER – Commenced to race ungenerously in the early stages and lost ground after being bumped by another runner soon after jumping.
 
AMELIA’S RAINBOW – Slowly away. Raced very ungenerously in the early stages. Laid in under pressure down the running. Raced wide for the majority. Trainer A Bailey, who was advised a warning would be placed on the mare’s racing manners, advised he will experiment with gear prior to next race start.
 
KENSINGTON GOLD – Raced wide for the majority.
 
SERENE MELODY - Raced wide for the majority.
 
Race 3: MAREEBA MAZDA CLASS B HANDICAP 1500m
 
PURRFECTIONIST – Jockey S Sheargold who was late arriving on course, due to transport difficulties, was replaced by S Wilson as the rider of the gelding. Began awkwardly. Following the running of this race Jockey Wilson, who advised Stewards that he had injured his left foot as his mount left the barrier, declared himself fit to fulfil his remaining engagements.
 
SUJANI – Began awkwardly. Was bumped by another runner soon after jumping. Raced wide for the majority.
 
MISPRINT – Shifted out soon after jumping and bumped with another runner. Was unable to muster pace in the early stages. Raced wide for the majority.
 
NEWSTEAD – Slow into stride after being buffeted between runners soon after jumping. Raced wide for the majority.
 
SWEET JUNE – Raced wide for the majority.
 
DIVINE MELODY – Had to be steadied when crowded between runners approaching the 1200m.
 
CAFFE ROMANO – The gelding, which tired noticeably over the concluding stages, underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities. Trainer K Allender undertook to advise Stewards should anything which may have had a bearing on today’s performance become apparent in coming days.
 
Race 4: PIMS MAREEBA CUP BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP
 
TUNNEL RAT – Post-race was found to have bled from both nostrils. Trainer S D’Avila was advised the gelding would incur the mandatory 3 months ban and be required to gallop 1000m satisfactorily in the presence of a Steward prior to being permitted to again start in a race. AR79.
 
HOT TOP – Fractious in the barrier. Slowly away.
 
ARMS RACE – Fractious in the barrier. Shifted wider near the 900m to improve, racing wide from that point.
 
CROCODILE SHOES – Was restrained soon after jumping in order to obtain a position closer to the inside running rail. Shifted wider passing the 800m, racing wide from that point.
 
GREYCLIFFE – Raced wide for the majority.
 
Race 5: GRAHAM HOTEL BRACELET BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1210m
 
HAND OF FAITH – Slowly away after beginning awkwardly.
 
MUSIC – Inconvenienced when crowded between runners soon after the start.
 
DANCING DIVA – Was inclined to hang in in the early stages.
 
COOL ATTITUDE – Raced wide for the majority.
 
GINGER BEER – Raced wide for the majority.
 
CLOUT – Raced wide for the majority.
