Race 10: CSF INDUSTRIES CLASS 6 PLATE – 1250 METRES  
 
ALL TIME LEGEND – After the geldings disappointing performance Trainer S. Massinghamsubsequently advised stewards that following further examinations no abnormalities had been detected and ALL TIME LEGEND has pleased him in its progress following   the race, whilst being closely monitored he will proceed with its preparation.  
 
The following overweight was permitted:
Race 5, S. Sheargold +1kg
 
Race 1: MAZDA MAREEBA QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 900 Metres            
 
WICKED DREAMER – As jockey L. Morrison was dually engaged, she was replaced by jockey D. Sparks. Stewards accepted the explanation tendered.
 
HARCASION – A pre-race veterinary examination cleared the horse to start. Fractious in the barriers rearing high and striking its head. Was declared a late scratching at 1.02pm.On the announcement of correct weight all monies invested on HARCASION were ordered to be refunded with deductions of 6 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets and 7 cents in the dollar on the face value of all place bets to be applicable. Trainer J. Manzelmann was advised that he must obtain a further barrier certificate prior to its next race start and further that the gelding must obtain a veterinary clearance prior to its next start.   
 
AUGUSTA REVOLUTION – Slow to begin.
 
WAIT'N'SEE – Slow to begin. Raced wide in the early stages.
 
KEY TO THE ZOU – Hung in for the majority of the race proving difficult to ride. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer J. Manzelmann was advised a warning would be placed on its racing manners.  
 
GREAT SURVEY – Raced wide for the majority.
 
SIRENE ROUGE – Raced wide for the majority.
 
Race 2: GRAHAM HOTEL BRACELET BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 1210
Metres
 
ALWAYS SACRED (NZ) –As the mare had not raced for an extended period it underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to its near-front tendon and as such was declared a late scratching at 12.20pm. Trainer S. Hoffman advised stewards it is now her intention that ALWAYS SACRED be retired from racing. Ms Hoffman was advised that should circumstances change she will be required to provide a Veterinary Clearance prior to the horse racing or trialing again.
 
BELLEVITA – After becoming loose on arrival at the track for a short period of time in the vicinity of the tie-up and stabling area it underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
 
SNAP CHAT – Slow into stride.

POMADE – Raced keenly in the early stages and shifted wider as a result.
 
Race 3:CASALIS BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP – 1123 Metres
 
ARUBA – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
 
NUCLEAR GIRL – Slow to begin. Shifted wider to improve leaving the 500 metres.
 
ROSE OF ATHENS – Raced wide for the majority.

SCARLET DESIRE – Was restrained near the 400 metres to avoid the fallen SOLOMON and took no further competitive part in the race.
 
SOLOMON – When all relevant parties are able to attend, Stewards will inquire into the circumstances which resulted in SOLOMON falling near the 400 metres and dislodging jockey F. Edwards who was transported to Mareeba Hospital for further assessment.A post-race veterinary examination of SOLOMON revealed the gelding had sustained an injury to the nearside shoulder and girth region. Trainer B. Hunter was advised a veterinary certificate of fitness is required prior to the horse racing or trialling again.

Race 4: SPONSOR'S RACE BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP – 1500 Metres
 
The start of this race was delayed due to the racing incident in Race 3.  
 
STAR INES –As the gelding had not raced for an extended period it underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Slow to begin.
 
HEADLANDER – Slow to begin.

REVELLERS– Raced wide for the majority.

SIZZLING SUN – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
Race 5: PIMS MAREEBA CUP BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP – 2000 Metres
 
VIVENZO– Fractious in the barriers, rearing high and becoming momentarily cast. Was declared a late scratching at 3.40pm.On the announcement of correct weight all monies invested on VIVENZO were ordered to be refunded with deductions of 31 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets and 28 cents in the dollar on the face value of all place bets to be applicable. Trainer M. Morrison was advised that he must obtain a further barrier certificate prior to its next race start and further that a veterinary clearance must be provided prior to its next trial or race start.
 
M. Abe was cautioned in relation to his celebratory gesture just prior the winning post.
