Race 2: Lasting Image,Bea Bingle and Race 3, Albert The Rocket, were all declared late scratchings at 12.00pm due to no available riders.  
 
Due to technical errors Blinkers did not appear in the race book for a number of runners:
Race 2: Veganer - not a gear change, Eighth Keeper – not a gear change; Race 3: Rothstein - not a gear change, Caldane – not a gear change, Roses Need Rain - not a gear change; Race 4: Craiglea Cruz – not a gear change, Golden Meteor – not a gear change; Race 6: Chestnut Road – not a gear change;  
 
Public announcements were made accordingly.
 
Race 1: MALOUF AUTO GROUP AND LIFEFLIGHT QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1100M  
 
MR PALOMINO – Slow to begin.
 
GRANDZONE ROCKET – Jumped out at the start bumping another runner.
 
SIRTIME – Bumped by another runner on jumping.
 
 
 
 
Race 2: BROWN BROTHERS RATINGS 0 - 50 H’CAP – 1100M
 
VEGANER – Slow to begin.
 
MOSPORT – Rider A. Spradau was permitted to ride the gelding ½ kg over its allotted weight when no other rider was available. A. Spradau, was fined the sum of $200 in that he accepted the ride in the knowledge he would be overweight. Slow to begin. Unable to show early speed despite the efforts of its rider.
 
MARINE ON PARADE – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
SPLASH OUT – Raced wide for majority of the race.
 
LUNAR LUCK – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 3: DOWNER AUSTRALIA BENCHMARK 60 H'CAP – 1200M 
 
CRAIGLEA SWIFT – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
SHOW US THE WAY – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
BUSH LAWYER – Raced wide for the majority of the race.  
 
ROTHSTEIN - Raced wide for the majority of the race. When questioned into the horse’s performance rider K. Ballard stated the gelding resented the kick back and was reluctant to stride out and for this reason he shifted it wider.       
 
ROSES NEED RAIN – Rider reported the mare had a tendency to lay in for the majority of the
race.  
 
SPARKLING VIXEN – Rider D. Ballard advised Stewards that he rode the mare hard in the    early stages in an attempt to gain a position closer to rail from his wide barrier which he believes may have been a telling factor in it not being able to finish the race off as expected.     
 
Race 4: POPEYS DIESEL SERVICES COPPERMART OPEN QUALITY H’CAP – 1000M 
 
LE CAP – Became very fractious simultaneously as the start was effected and laid back on the gates losing considerable ground eventually being retired from the race. Trainer J. Morris was advised he must obtain a further barrier certificate before the gelding would be permitted to race again.
 
FORTZA – Slow to begin.
 
AUGUSTE – Slow to begin.
 
TRAVEL IN STYLE – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
NITE ROCKER – raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 5: OVERLANDER BENCHMARK 55 H’CAP - 1450m 
 
MYSTIC HARMONY – Slow to begin.
 
FRISCO JOURNEY – Slow to begin. Raced wide for majority of the race.
 
SNAZZY SOCKS – Slow to begin.
 
Race 6: MOUNT ISA CITY COUNCIL MT ISA CUP OPEN H’CAP - 1700m 
 
ALL FIVES – Began very awkwardly.
 
KNOWING ME – Slow to begin.
 
ARTIBAI – As A. Spradau was unable to make the allotted weight he was replaced by S. Galvin. A. Spradau was fined the sum of $100. Raced wide early and middle stages.
 
RICHIE ROCKET – Raced wide for majority of the race.
