SLEEPING SATELLITE Slowly away.
 
BOPPIN THE BLUES Raced wide for the majority.
 
GUACAMOLE Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 2: DOWNER GROUP RATINGS BAND 0-60 HANDICAP 1200m
 
LASTING IMAGE Was a late withdrawal by order of Stewards at 3.22pm after refusing to proceed to the barriers. Prior to the declaration of Correct Weight Stewards ordered that all monies wagered on the gelding be refunded in full and further that all successful wagers placed on the event prior to 3.22pm be subject to deductions of 5 cents in the dollar win and 6 cents in the dollar place on the face value of the betting ticket. Trainer Mr. J Bawden advised Stewards that it is connectionss intention to retire the gelding from racing. Nonetheless Mr Bawden was advised that LASTING IMAGE would be required to trial satisfactorily under race day conditions prior to being permitted to again start in a race.

GRANDZONE ROCKET Lost ground when crowded between runners on jumping.
 
MOSPORT
Slowly into stride after bumping heavily with another runner on jumping. Jockey T Gillett reported that the gelding was reluctant to stretch out due to resenting the kickback in running.
 
CRAIGLEA SWIFT Bumped heavily with another runner on jumping. Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
Race 3: INNOVAR BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1450m
 
ADMIRAL RUFF Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
NIGHT WOLF - Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
NOOGOORA BURR - Jockey T Gillett reported that the gelding was reluctant to stretch out in running due to resenting the kickback in the early and middle stages.
 
Race 4: LES HUDDY MEMORIAL OPEN PLATE 1100m
 
LE CAP Slowly away after bumping with another runner on jumping. Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
MY CRIMSON LAD - Slowly away after bumping with another runner on jumping.
 
JABIRU DREAMING Was inclined to race ungenerously in the early and middle stages. Raced wide throughout.
 
FIVE OOCLOCK Was eased out the of race after going amiss on straightening. A subsequent Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off fore leg. Trainer Mr. J Jackson was advised a Veterinary clearance would be required prior to FIVE OOCLOCK being permitted to again start in a race.
 
Race 5: TKO CONSTRUCTIONS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1000m
 
CALABAH FLAME Slowly away.
 
OUR HUSSLER - Slowly away.
 
WICKED WIKI - Slowly away.

Raced wide throughout. App. N Fazackerley was issued with a reprimand under the provisions of AR137A(5)(ii) for excessive whip use prior to the 100m. (6 times).
