Race 1: GOOD LUCK GALEA WARRIOR Ratings Band 0 - 50 Handicap – 1000M   

ALIENATE -   Jumped outwards contacting the runner to the outside. 
 
CRYSTAL BEAR – Jumped inwards contacting the runner to its inside. Raced wide rounding the home turn. 
 
JETTY BETTY - Tightened for room between runners on jumping. 
 
DROPPER ROCKET - Jumped outwards contacting the runner to its outside. Lost ground near the 600m. Rider reported the gelding over reacted to the kickback and he took the gelding wider on the track.  
 
ZOOKS - A.Spradau was a late riding engagement for ZOOKS and at the request of Trainer G. Tipping Stewards allowed Jockey Spradau to ride the gelding three kilogram over weight as no other rider was available.  The gelding lost considerable ground in the back straight by racing ungenerously when not appreciating the kick back.
 
BORN TO FIRE - Raced wide most of the way.
 
 
Race 2:– SUNSET BUTCHERY/CAVA HYDRAULICS QTIS Maiden Plate - 1200M   
 
BIDAFLARE - Jumped outwards making contact with another runner, which jumped inwards.  Rider reported filly who was having its first start in this area did not appreciate kick back early and he then took the filly to the outside and raced wide. 
 
MY MIND IS MADE UP - Jumped inwards making contact with the runner to its inside. 
 
NITRO CITY – Fractious in the barriers.  Warning placed on the colt in regards to its barrier behaviour.  Jumped awkwardly striking head on barrier upright.  Post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
KAWANA VIVA - Fractious behind barriers at start.  Warning placed on the mare in regards to its   barrier behaviour. Raced wide for the majority of the race.   
 
THE FAB THREE - Raced wide rounding the home turn. 
 
SUDDENLY SPICE - Eased out of the race in the home straight. Horse collapsed soon after passing the winning post. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly had suffered a massive heart attack.
 
Race 3- MOUNT ISA MINING SUPPLIES BenchMark 60 Handicap - 1200M.

DAMAGING - Slow into stride and raced wide for the majority of the race. Performed below market expectations and was tailed off. When questioned in regards to its performance, rider advised the gelding was having its first start in this area and his instructions were to lead but was unable to do so and the gelding did not appreciate the kickback. Bounded into the air as the start was effected. Raced wide from the 900m and compounded in the straight.   
 
DREAMWARD BOUND - Raced wide for the majority of the race. Rider D. Sparks was reminded of his responsibilities in relation to the use of the whip. 
 
MR ROCKARD – Raced wide rounding the 600m turn. 
 
MANDALONG PASS - Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
Race 4:- THE ISA HOTEL/RED EARTH BOUTIQUE COPPERMART OPEN QUALITY Handicap 1200M.
 
CODE ONE - Was unable to be loaded into the barriers.  Declared a late scratching at 3.43pm. Prior to the declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered that all monies invested on CODE ONE were to be refunded and all successful bets for the win be paid with a deduction of Six  cents in the dollar for the win and all successful place bets be paid less Seven cents in the dollar on the face value of the tickets. Trainer S. Royes was advised that CODE ONE, must successfully complete a barrier jump-out in the presence of Stewards prior to starting again.
 
ANCHOR CHAIN - Slow into stride.    
 
DAMGOODCHOICE - Jumped outwards and raced wide for the majority of the race.  
 
CRAIGLEA CRUZ - Raced wide rounding the 600m.   
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Race 5:– BROWN BROTHERS WINES BenchMark 60 Handicap 1450M.
 
KURAMOS - Raced wide rounding the 1200m turn. 
 
ALLUDER - Raced wide rounding the 1200m and home turns.
 
GULLY GOSH - Tired noticeably in the home straight.

 
 
Race 6:– MT ISA CITY COUNCIL MOUNT ISA CUP OPEN Quality Handicap (1700 Metres).     
 
TWO OF A KIND - After being loaded into the barrier the front gate opened on two occasions without any excessive force being applied by the gelding.  On each occasion, the gelding was returned to the barriers after only travelling a short distance at a canter and was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon on each occasion and passed fit to run. 
 
ANYMORE - After being loaded into the barrier the front gate opened without any excessive force being applied by the gelding. The gelding was returned to the barriers after only travelling a short distance at a canter and was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to run. Rider J. Babarovich was charged with a breach of AR 137A(5)(a)(ii) in that he used the whip on more than five occasions prior to the 100m, namely thirteen occasions, being eight more than is  permissible.  Jockey BABAROVICH pleaded Guilty and was fined $200.  In accessing this penalty, Stewards took into account Jockey Babarovich’s previous good record in relation to this rule. 
 
NIGHT WOLF – Was fractious in the barriers prior to the start. 
 
CHESTNUT ROAD - After standing in the barriers for sometime became restless resulting in the hind leg becoming stuck between the back barrier gates.  Veterinary examination revealed an injury to its off hind leg. Stewards acting on veterinary advice declared CHESTNUT ROAD to be a late scratching at 5.00pm. Prior to the declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered that all monies invested on CHESTNUT ROAD were to be refunded and all successful bets for the win be paid with a deduction of fifty-two cents in the dollar and all successful place bets be paid less twenty-six cents in the dollar on the face value of the tickets. A veterinary certificate of fitness is required before CHESTNUT ROAD is permitted to race again.  
 
SPLIT THE ATOM  -  Slow into stride.  Raced wide rounding the 1400m turn. Rider K. Ballard was charged with a breach of AR 137A(5)(a)(ii) in that he used the whip on more than five occasions prior to the 100m, namely twelve occasions, being seven more than is  permissible. Jockey Ballard pleaded Guilty and was fined $200. In accessing this penalty, Stewards took into account Jockey Ballard’s previous good record in relation to this rule.     
 
WEATHERVANE – Raced wide rounding the 1400m turn. Finished tailed off. A post-race  veterinary examination revealed superficial abrasions to its off hind leg.
 
RODEO DESTINY -   Raced wide rounding the 1400m and home turns.
