Due to a predicted sultry weather conditions this race meeting was conducted within the provisions of the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission Caring for Racing Animals in Extreme Heat Policy. 
 
Supplementary Report: Cloncurry 3rd November, 2018
 
Stewards today inquired into reasons why Jockey R. McMahon failed to fulfil his five riding engagements at the Cloncurry and District Race Meeting on 3rd November, 2018 and failing to notify connections of horses he was to ride and also the Stewards. After hearing evidence Jockey McMahon pleaded Guilty to charge under AR 85B and was fined the sum of $300.00
 
Race 1:MIGHT AND POWER RATINGS BAND 0 - 50 H’CAP – 1450M
 
KURAMOS – Slow into stride.
 
DUAL PERSONALITY – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
TWO OF A KIND – Raced wide rounding 1200m turn.
 
BEA BINGLE – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
Race 2: SAINTLY CLASS B HANDICAP – 1000M
 
The Photo finish equipment failed to operate for this race. No time was recorded for this race.  Extra Judges and a video camera was positioned in the Judge’s box. 
 
OAKFIELD SUNSET – Began awkwardly.
 
MESSINES ROASE – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
HEREBANEEK – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 3: SUBZERO QTIS BENCHMARKM 60 HANDICAP – 1000M 
 
BITHARD – Marginally slow to go. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed a poor post-race recovery.
 
ABBA ORIGINAL – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 4:DUNADEN CLASS 2 PLATE 1200M
 
ALIK – Reluctant to load into the barriers. Soon after the start shifted outwards tightening a runner to its outside. Jockey R. McMahon was fined $200 for excessive use of the whip prior to the 100m.  
 
ECHELON ROSE – Tightened for room when racing between runners shortly after the start and lost ground as a result.   
 
Race 5: MAKYBE DIVA CLASS 6 PLATE 1200M
 
DEADLY CHOICES – Jumped awkwardly and inwards contacting with another runner.
 
SPLIT THE ATOM – Contacted by another runner when jumping away and lost ground. 
 
WICKED INVESTMENT – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
UMGENI – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
