Sentimental Miss – Delayed the start when proved difficult to load. Trainer H. Forster, was advised a warning would be placed on the filly’s barrier manners. Began awkwardly. Raced in restricted room near the 700m and lost ground. Following the event, rider J. Babarovich reported he had injured his right foot during the race and was examined by the ambulance officers and cleared to fulfil his remaining engagements.
 
Grey Factor – Slow to begin.
 
Born To Fire – Shifted in near the 700m placing another runner in restricted room. Rider R. Hancock was severely reprimanded and advised to make a greater effort in similar circumstances.
