Race 1: STEEJO PRESS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1100m
Snippy Strategic – Reluctant to load. Trainer Mr. K Krogh was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s barrier manners.
Encoronada – Fractious in the barrier.
Believe It Or Not – Jockey K Ballard reported the gelding began to race ungenerously near the 650m due to the kickback in running and soon after the saddle had shifted placing him at a disadvantage for the remainder of the event. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
Snippy Strategic – Shifted in near the 500m crowding a runner to its inside. Jockey J Babarovich was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
Hologram – Had to be restrained near the 500m when crowded by another runner which shifted in.
Will She Appeal – Raced wide for the majority.
Race 2: LEONIE WINKS PHOTOGRAPHY OPEN HANDICAP 900m
Yarrapower which was resuming following a prolonged absence from racing was inspected by the Veterinarian on arrival at the racecourse and was cleared to start.
No racing incidents.
Race 3: COLONIAL SUPERMARKET CLASS 5 PLATE 1200m
Le Drama – Lost ground after beginning awkwardly and was tightened for running soon after. Shifted out marginally near the 750m placing another runner in restricted room.
Brooklands – Shifted in marginally near the 750m placing another runner in restricted room. Jockey D Ballard reported the gelding, which raced below market expectations, had travelled well in running but had failed to respond to his urgings over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
Kapset – Had to be restrained near the 750m when tightened between runners.
Race 4: CAVA SOLUTIONS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1450m
Mary’s Girl – Slowly into stride.
Moving Target – Raced ungenerously in the early stages. Shifted out near the 650m placing a runner to its outside in restricted room.
King Solomon – Inconvenienced near the 650m when placed in restricted room between runners.
Race 5: TREVOR MORRIS BUILDERS OPEN HANDICAP 1450m
Onemore For Wilson – Raced wide for the majority.
