Race 1. COLONIAL SUPERMARKET MAIDEN PLATE 1100m
 
HOPE AS ALWAYS – As no other rider was available Stewards permitted R. McMahon to ride the ride the gelding 1kg overweight. Marginally slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority.
 
ZOUNATE – Raced wide rounding the 600m turn. 
 
JULES RULES - Raced wide for the majority.
 
LOVE’S BEST HOPE - Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
Race 2. VALE HARRY McGUCKIN BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP 1100m
 
 As J. Babarovich holds a dual Trainer/Jockey license and he had three runners, (SAFDIE, ANSINNA and BOLD SAM) engaged in this race he furnished notification to the Stewards as to the riding instructions he proposed for each runner.  The instructions were broadcast via on-course public address prior to the race.
 
ANSINNA – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority.
 
BOLD SAM – Began awkwardly after being fractious in the barrier. Rider T Brummell reported that the blinkers shifted upwards on jumping and shorly after the gelding was inclined to lay out and bumped with MAGIC TOWN to its outside.
 
MAGIC TOWN – D. Ballard who was permitted to ride the gelding 0.5kg overweight was nonetheless reprimanded under the provisions of AR190(3). Buffeted between runners soon after jumping. Raced wide for the majority. Rider D Ballard dropped his whip near the finish line.  
 
CRAIGLEA ALTONA – Was inconvenienced and taken wide soon after jumping. Raced wide rounding the 600m turn.
 
DANSK HAVN - Raced wide rounding the 600m turn.
 
BACCHUR - Raced wide for the majority.
 
Race 3. STEEJO PRESS CLASS B HANDICAP 1200m
 
EMPIRE GAMES – Slowly into stride after jumping awkwardly. Raced wide for the majority. 
 
BOSS’S DAUGHTER -  Began awkwardly. Raced wide rounding 600m turn. 
 
FLIRTY McCOY – Raced wide for the majority. 
 
CATO - Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
Race 4. LEONIE WINKS PHOTOGRAPHY QTIS RATINGS BAND 0 - 60 HANDICAP 1450m 
 
FA FA - As no other rider was available Stewards allowed D. Ballard to ride the ride the gelding 1.5kg overweight. 
 
MYOLA MILLY – Slowly into stride after bumping with another runner on jumping. Rider T. Hill was of the opinion the mare, which raced ungenerously, may have resented the tongue tie and Trainer T Parry advised she will consider a gear change prior to next start. A post- race Veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer T Parry, who indicated she will consider a gear change prior to next start, was advised that a warning would be placed on the mare’s racing manners.


IMMUTABLE - Bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced wide rounding the home turn. 
 
BANKSY STRIKES – Raced wide rounding the 1200m turn.   
 
DRAGON IN THE NORTH - Raced wide for the majority. 

Race 5. CAVA MOUNT ISA CUP QUALITY OPEN/OUTBACK RACING SHOWCASE HEAT OPEN HANDICAP 1450m
 
SPANISH HURRICANE - As no other rider was available Stewards permitted R. McMahon to ride the gelding 1kg overweight. Bumped with another runner on jumping.  Jockey McMahon advised the gelding, which performed well below market expectations, had never travelled comfortably at any stage of the race. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Nonetheless Stewards advised Trainer J. Morris that a Veterinary Clearance is required prior to next race start. 
 
BENJI PEGASUS – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced wide for the majority.
