SN GABBERT CONSTRUCTION / BOOTH RURAL MAIDEN PLATE 1100m TANK ATTACK was a late withdrawal on Veterinary advice at 1.34pm. Stewards ordered that all monies wagered on the gelding be refunded in full and further that all successful wagers placed on the event be subject to deductions of 47 cents in the dollar win and 35 cents in the dollar place on the face value of the betting ticket. Trainer G Tipping was advised that the gelding which was displaying signs of lameness in the near fore and off hind legs would require a Veterinary clearance prior to next race start. MONICA ROOM – Shifted out abruptly soon after jumping inconveniencing another runner. MY BOY SOOTY – Slowly away. Inconvenienced soon after jumping. DEEP SEEDED - Raced wide from the 400m. Race 2. JULIA CREEK HOTEL OPEN HANDICAP 1100m OKANAGAN MISS – Began awkwardly. Shifted wider passing the 900m to avoid the kickback in running. CHARLIE CAT – Slowly away after beginning awkwardly. CATO – Raced wide from the 600m. SAFDIE – Raced wide for the majority. GRAND SYMPHONY – Raced wide rounding the home turn. Race 3. KATHY PARRY & PARRY PASTORAL QTIS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1100m SCARPA – Slowly away after being inconvenienced on jumping. Raced wide in the middle stages. SHIVKANI – Shifted in on jumping inconveniencing a runner to its inside. ROCKETHEAD – Raced wide for the majority. ARCING HARD – Raced wide for the majority. CACTOBLASTIS - Raced wide for the majority. CRAIGLEA ALTONA – Raced wide rounding the home turn. Race 4. JULIA CREEK ROADHOUSE / GODIERS CAFÉ & MARKETPLACE CLASS B HANDICAP 1450m HIBIYA (NZ) – Stewards permitted Jockey D Ballard to ride the gelding 1kg over its allotted weight. ZOUNATE – Slowly away. TORA SUMI – Slowly away. Raced wide for the majority. BLAX – Raced wide for the majority. MR TYCOON – Jockey N Nelson reported the gelding, which finished tailed off, was never comfortable on today’s soft surface. Race 5.
