GENERAL
Due to predicted sultry weather conditions, this race meeting was conducted within the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission Caring For Racing Animals In Extreme Heat Policy.
 
The following horses which all raced on Tuesday 2nd November were all cleared to start by the Veterinarian – FA FA, MYOLA MILLY, FLASH HOMBRE, EL RANCHOS (NZ), WHITSUNDAY STAR, POSITIVE TENSION.
 
 
Race 1: CLASS B HANDICAP 1000 metres
 
COZHECANCAN – Was a late withdrawal at 12:19pm under veterinary advice after sustaining a laceration to the left eye lid in the raceday tie-ups. As Bookmakers had not conducted any betting transactions on the event no deductions were applicable.
 
SNIPPY STRATEGIC – Tired noticeably over the concluding stages.
 
DUSKY DAMSEL – Raced wide for the majority.
 
FA FA – Raced wide for the majority.
 
Race 2: BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1000 metres
 
FLASH HOMBRE – Slowly away after beginning awkwardly. Raced wide for the majority.
 
DOLLADREAM – Raced wide for the majority.
 
Following the running of this race Stewards, after consulting with club officials, made the decision to bring all remaining races forward due to threatening weather conditions.
 
Race 3: BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1000 metres
 
ROCKETHEAD – Fractious in the barrier.
 
DJEBEL READY – Shifted out on jumping bumping with a runner to its outside. Raced wide for the majority.
 
SILENTUS - Bumped by another runner on jumping.
 
BUON NATALE – Raced wide for the majority.
 
Following a heavy downpour whilst runners for this event were behind the barriers the track rating was downgraded to Soft for races 3-6 inclusive.
 
Race 4: MAIDEN PLATE 1200 metres
 
LIZ’ DELIGHT – Slowly away after beginning awkwardly.
 
SUNNY EKCELS – Slowly away after beginning awkwardly.
 
EL RANCHOS (NZ) – Began awkwardly. Raced wide for the majority.
 
MATCHFOX – Raced wide for the majority.
 
Race 5: CLASS B HANDICAP 1200 metres
 
MY BOY SOOTY – Slowly away after proving fractious in the barrier.
 
WOTS WONG – Slowly away after beginning very awkwardly. Unable to muster pace in the early and middle stages before finishing off fairly.
 
BLAX – Raced wide for the majority.
 
Race 6: BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1200 metres
 
MR TINDALL – Began awkwardly. Raced wide for the majority.
 
KIND LANDON (NZ) – Slowly into stride. Raced wide for the majority.
