GENERAL
As rider Ms C Eaton was unable to attend today’s race meeting due to transport difficulty. All her mounts were scratched due to no rider available.
 
Race 1. CLASS B Handicap (1450m)
MOTORED – Bumped at start. Slow into stride .
DREAM HALO – Shifted in at start bumping another runner.
STRETCHING – Raced ungenerously  early stages. Raced wide majority.
ALL AT SEA – Slow into stride. Raced wide majority.
 
Race 2 : BENCHMARK 70 Handicap (1450m)
KEEP ON LOVING YOU – Raced wide early and middle stages.
KING LANDON  (NZ) – Raced ungenerously in the early stages due to kickback in running. Shifted wider to obtain clear running . Wide rounding home turn .
DUKES COUNTY – Raced wide middle stages.
DON’T DESPAIR – Performed below market expectations. Jockey J Hoopert could offer no explanation for the gelding’s poor performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities .Trainer was advised that should any irregularities be found in coming days, to report to Stewards.
 
Race 3: OPEN Handicap (1100m)
CATO – Raced wide early stages.
CRAIGLEA ALTONA – Raced wide early stages.
 
Race 4 : Maiden Plate (1200m)
No racing incidents.
 
Race 5 : QTIS Class 3 Handicap (1200m)
CHRISTMAS CREEK – Stewards permitted rider D .Ballard to ride the gelding 1kg overweight as no other rider was available.
A MILLION DREAMS –  Slow into stride. 
RIVERSIDE BLUES – Raced wide majority.
HARRY ROCKET – Raced wide majority.
