GENERAL
Due to predicted sultry weather conditions, this race meeting was conducted within the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission Caring for Animals in extreme heat policy.
The following horses, all of which raced on Saturday October 29th, underwent a veterinary inspection, and were passed fit to start at today’s race meeting.
STRETCHING, LOUIE THE LEGEND, MISHANI HURRICANE, LIZ’S DELIGHT – MISHANI VIRTUE, ROCKSTAR DREAMS, STROKE OF MAGIC, FUDGINIT.
 
Race 1: MIGHT & POWER CLASS B Handicap (1450m)
RIVERSIDE BLUES – Raced wide rounding home turn.
SHOOTING FOR KATE – Tired over the concluding stages. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
Race 2: SAINTLY OPEN Handicap (1450m)
KEEP ON LOVING YOU – Raced wide early and middle stages.
DUKES COUNTY – Slow into stride. Raced wide majority.
 
Race 3: STEEJO PRESS QTIS MAIDEN Plate (1000m)
BROOK’S GIRL – Stewards permitted rider J Baker to ride the mare 1kg overweight as no other rider was available.
TABOO – Began awkwardly. Raced wide middle stages and rounding home turn.
MOVE BY – Shifted out on jumping bumping another runner. Raced wide majority.
SPURCIFIC JOURNEY – Was bumped by another runner on jumping. Raced wide in the early stages.
SINGLE MALT – Stewards permitted rider D Ballard to ride the gelding 2 kg overweight as no other rider was available. Bumped at the start by another runner to its inside. Raced wide majority.
 
 
Race 4: SUNSET BUTCHERY BENCHMARK 65 Handicap (1000m)
MISHANI HURRICANE – Rider reported that the gelding did not feel comfortable over the concluding stages of the race. A post- race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer J. Bawden was advised that should any irregularities be found in coming days, to report to Stewards.
ALL ABOUT ME – Slow to begin.
GUMNUTS – Slow to begin.
CRAIGLEA ALTONA – Raced ungenerously early. Shifted out wide approaching the 600m to avoid the kickback in running. Raced wide from that point on.
LATIN DAYZ – Slow into stride. Raced wide majority.
EM CEE GEE – Raced wide majority.
 
 
Race 5: BOOK XMAS PARTIES @ MIRC TODAY QTIS CLASS 1 Handicap (1000m)
MISHANI VIRTUE – Slow to begin shifted wide to avoid kickback in running. Raced wide majority.
THE DELINQUENT – Raced wide majority.
HANGIN’ HIGH – Raced wide majority.
 
Race 6: CAVA GROUP BENCHMARK 55 Handicap (1200m)
STROKE OF MAGIC – Was a late scratching at 4:45 when rider Ms B. Richardson became indisposed, and no other rider was available. She was advised that she will require a medical clearance prior to resuming race riding. All monies invested on the mare were ordered to be refunded in full. Deductions applicable to bets placed on winner and placegetter prior to 4:45pm were as follows:
12 cents in the dollar for the win
11 cents in the dollar for the place.
MYOLA MILLY – Raced wide rounding home turn.
CRYSTAL HELMET – Raced wide rounding home turn.
