General:
 
All Jockeys provided negative alcohol breath tests prior to riding.
 
The following runners were scratched at 12pm due to no available rider.

Race 1: QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 900m
 
HALLSIDE WILDTHING – Slow into stride and raced wide the majority.
 
SINGLE MALT – Slow into stride. Resented the dirt being thrown back and raced ungenerously in the middle stages.
 
TURF EDITION – Raced ungenerously throughout and resented the dirt kick back. Jockey J Baker returned to scale with a small laceration on the bridge of his nose. He was examined by QAS officers and cleared for further rides.
 
NANNA BAX – Blundered when the gates opened.
 
 
Race 2: CLASS B HANDICAP 900m
 
SPURCIFIC JOURNEY – Jumped out at the start and contacted another runner.
 
ALPHA BLUE – Hampered on jumping between SPURCIFIC JOURNEY and BIT OF FUN.
 
BIT OF FUN – Trainer J Manzelmann was advised that a warning was issued regarding the gelding kicking out behind the barriers when attendants attempted to load BIT OF FUN. It was noted that rider J Baker stopped riding BIT OF FUN over the concluding stages.On returning to scale Jockey J Baker reported that he believed BIT OF FUN was not stretching out fully from the 400 metres and may have been lame. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
SIZZLING RIVER – Blundered shortly after the start and then hung in for some distance in the back straight despite the efforts of Apprentice T Leslight.
 
ALL AT SEA – Race wide throughout.
 
GOTCHA BOY –Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
 
Race 3: RATINGS 0-65 HANDICAP 900m
 
MOPAR –Raced wide for much of the race.
 
CANDENCE – Raced wide throughout.
 
ALBERT THE ROCKET – Returning from a lengthy spell. Inspected by the Club Veterinary Sugeon Pre race and cleared to start. Slow to begin.
 
ONTHETAKE – Slow to begin and raced wide.
 
 
Race 4: OPEN PLATE  1000m
 
AMERICAN GENIUS – Slow into stride. Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
FAB’S COWBOY – Returned to scale with blood in the near side nostril. A post-race veterinary examination of FAB’S COWBOY identified the presence of blood in the near side nostril only. FAB’S COWBOY shall before racing again be required to undergo a satisfactory gallop of at least 1,000 metres in the presence of a Steward. AR79(8). A Veterinary certificate of fitness will also be required.
 
LOUIE THE LEGEND – Commenced to race fiercely at the 900 metres when crossed by AMERICAN GENIUS. Raced wide thereafter.
 
WE’LL BEAT IT – Raced extremely wide.
 
 
Race 5: BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1100m
 
SIR BULLEE – Jockey D Ballard requested a pre- race veterinary examination of the gelding after it felt awkward in its action on route to the start. SIR BULLEE was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to start. Jumped out at the start and hampered HUNUA HANK (NZ).
 
ZOOMARATTA – Hampered at the start .
 
HUNUA HANK (NZ) – Slow to begin and checked shortly after the start.
 
DEVIL – Trainer J Bawden was granted permission to remove the pacifiers from the gelding which was having it’s first race start for his stable.
 
MISHANI JEWEL – Jockey J Felix reported the filly blundered on jumping.
