The following runners were scratched at 12pm due to no available rider.

Race 1: SUNSET BUTCHERY MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
 
HALLSIDE WILDTHING – Commenced to buck shortly after the start dislodging Apprentice S Nielson. HALLSIDE WILDTHING turned and was recaptured by barrier staff shortly after this incident. Apprentice S Nielson was treated by Ambulance Officers on the track and then transported to the Mount Isa Hospital for further observation. Trainer T Parry was advised that HALLSIDE WILDTHING will be required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of Stewards before racing again.
 
ANGAMA – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
MISHANI VIRTUE - Slow into stride and raced wide the majority.
 
 
Race 2: TREVOR MORRIS BUILDERS CLASS B HANDICAP 1000m
 
Due to a delay awaiting a second Ambulance to transport an injured rider, this race started
at 2.40pm - 20 minutes behind the advertised starting time.
 
SPURCIFIC JOURNEY – Jockey J Babarovich dropped his whip at the 200 metres.
 
ALPHA BLUE – Jockey N Yadi was questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding. He advised Stewards thatALPHA BLUEwas never travelling kindly and after jumping away slowly resented the kick back in running. His explanation was noted.  
 
WHISKEY ROW - Race wide throughout.
 
ALL AT SEA - Race wide throughout.
 
GOTCHA BOY -Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
 
Race 3: GJB  PLUMBING RATINGS 0-65 HANDICAP 1000m
 
The starting time of Race 3 was amended to 3.30 p.m.
 
KEEP ON LOVING YOU - Raced wide throughout.
 
HI ZERO – Jumped awkwardly. Shifted out to a three wide position at the 600 metres to avoid kick back.
 
ALBERT THE ROCKET – Slow into stride.
 
 
Race 4: AAA VET CLINIC OPEN PLATE  1100m
 
LOUIE THE LEGEND – As the start was affected and the barrier gates opened, Louie The Legend turned its head inwards into the side of the starting stall and lost considerable ground. Stewards delayed correct weight and checked the official head on patrol film. Louis The Legend was declared a runner. Trainer T Parry was advised that a final warning will be issued regarding barrier manners.   
 
MR TINDALL – Race wide for the majority.

SPLASHER – Jockey J Hoopert replaced Apprentice S Nielson.SPLASHER was fractious in the barriers.
 
WE’LL BEAT IT – Race wide for the majority.  
 
MISTER LARRABEE – Was extremely slow to begin losing considerable ground and then raced wide. Trainer J Manzelmann advised that being reluctant to jump on terms with the field is a consistant trait of the gelding that he has not been able to rectify. Stewards advised him that whilst Mister Larrabee had still won todays event a warning will be issued regarding barrier manners.
 
 
Race 5: ST PADDY’S RACEDAY QTIS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1200m
 
FINGERTIPS – Slow into stride and raced wide.
 
SIR BULLEE –  Slow to begin and raced wide.
 
GOLDEN ATHENA – Held up for clear running and unable to improve at the 150 metres.
 
ONTHETAKE –  Collided with another runner on jumping.
 
QUEENSLANDER – Jumped in at the start hampering ONTHETAKE which was taken in onto BELLEOFTHE HUNTER. Hampered at the 1000 metres.
 
BELLEOFTHEHUNTER – Checked at the start.
 
SUB ROSA – Shifted in at the 1000 metresresulting in QUEENSLANDER being momentarily steadied.
