Race 1: BUFFS RENO BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1450m
 
JABALI GOLD – Race wide early and middle stages.
 
ALL AT SEA – Raced wide for the majority. Soon after straightening was tightened by BARRICHELLO.
 
ALBERT THE ROCKET – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
ROYAL TONIC (NZ) – Stewards permitted Jockey D Graham to ride 2.0kg overweight as there were no other riders available.
 
BARRICHELLO- Laid in under pressure at approximately the 200m momentarily tightening ALL AT SEA. Jockey J Babarovich was advised to show greater care in similar circumstances.
 
FINGERTIPS – Stewards permitted Jockey J Baker to ride 2.0kg overweight as there were no other riders available. Raced wide during the middle and rounding the home turn. Jockey J Baker was treated by the QAS returning to scale and cleared to continue his riding engagements.
 
Stewards considered an objection lodged by Jockey K Ballard the rider of ALL AT SEA which finished in third place against first placed BARRICHELLO ridden by Jockey J Babarovich on the grounds of alleged interference between the 200m and the 100m. Stewards heard submissions from connections of both horses and viewed the available video footage. It was established that ALL AT SEA did experience some tightening to its running in the vicinity of the 200m. After giving due consideration to the matter connections were advised that Stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that had this incident not occurred that ALL AT SEA would have finished ahead of BARRICHELLO. Stewards dismissed the objection of 3rd vs 1st and declared correct weight on the judge’s semaphored numbers.
 
 
Race 2: BUFFS MOBI 2 GO Class B Handicap 900m
 
TURF EDITION – Bumped on jumping causing the gelding to shift in hampering IRON MASK.
Raced wide throughout.

IRON MASK – Bumped on jumping causing the gelding toshift in hampering BEYONDTASTIC. Raced wide throughout.
 
BEYONDTASTIC – Inconvenienced on jumping and raced in restricted room for a short period after the start. Raced wide throughout.
 
GOTCHA BOY –  A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off fore cannon. Trainer T Parry was advised a vet clearance would be required prior to the gelding racing again.
 
 
 
Race 3: BUFFS COFFEE SHOP QTIS RATINGS BAND 0 – 60 Handicap1000m
 
SUB ROSA – Slow to begin.
 
THE BROTHERHOOD – Shifted in over the concluding stages.
 
RUSTY ROSE – Approaching the 200m shifted out to avoid heels of another runner which shifted in under pressure.
 
MISHANI HURRICANE –Stewards permitted Jockey J Baker to ride 2.0kg overweight as there were no other riders available. Fractious in barriers.
A post race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Trainer J Bawden was advised a warning would be placed on the geldings barrier manners.

 
Race 4: BATTLE OF THE BUSH MOUNT ISA QUALIFIER OPEN Plate 1100m
 
DANAWI – Slow to begin.
 
HAN DYNASTY – Was inclined to lay in during the early stages placing runners to its inside in restricted room. Jockey D Graham was advised in similar circumstances  to stop riding and straighten her mounts. Raced wide for the majority.
 
TEDDY MERCURY – Restrained off heels approaching the 600m when placed in restricted room.
 
FAVRA – Buffeted between runners from the 700m when LOUIE THE LEGEND shifted out whilst racing ungenerously.
 
LOUIE THE LEGEND – Approaching the 700m shifted out when racing ungenerously bumping FAVRA.
 
DUKES COUNTY – Approaching the 600m shifted in inconveniencing TEDDY MERCURY.
 
 
Race 5: SUNSET BUTCHERY BENCHMARK 50 Handicap 1200m
 
BEYONDTASTIC- Restrained off heels approaching the 600m.
 
COUNT MICHELIN – Raced wide throughout.
 
STROKE OF MAGIC – Stewards permitted Jockey J Baker to ride 1.5kg overweight as there were no other riders available. Raced wide throughout.
 
KARBORS – Stewards permitted Jockey D Graham to ride +1kg overweight at the trainers request. Raced wide throughout.
