ThompsonStarter – M. Cummins General: As jockey D.Graham was unavailable, Stewards permitted riding changes as per the raceday summary. Jockey Graham’s explanation was accepted by stewards. Stewards accepted the following overweights:Race 2. J.Baker +2kgRace 5. J.Baker +1kg The following horses were declared a late scratching at 12:00pm due to no rider being available:Race 2. No.5 – MISS MIRACULOUSRace 2. No.6 – MISS BOUCHARDRace 2. No.10 – SUNVALLEY DREAMINGRace 5. No.1 - CAERUS Race 1: BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1450 metres DANAWI– Slow into stride. GOLDEN EIGHTY – Raced wide for the majority of the event. JUST SIZZLING – Apprentice jockey T.Leslight reported that JUST SIZZLING began well then over-raced in the early stages. STROKE OF MAGIC – Stood flat footed at the start and failed to stretch out in the early stages in the event. A warning was placed on the mare in relation to the poor performance. Following the event, jockey D.Sparks reported right bicep pain and was attended to by QAS staff. Jockey Sparks was declared fit to ride for the remainder of the meeting. Race 2: Benchmark 45 Handicap 1000 metres SPANISH SPIRIT – Raced wide for the event. ALL AT SEA – Bumped with BRIDEZILLA on jumping. BRIDEZILLA – Bumped with ALL AT SEA on jumping. Upon returning to scale, apprentice jockey T Leslight reported that the mare was slow into stride then worked home strongly over the concluding stages. BUBBLE BATH – Stewards permitted jockey J.Baker to ride +2kg over the allotted weight due to no other rider being available. Jumped awkwardly inwards. Race 3: RATINGS BAND 0-65 Handicap 1000 metres WHISPERING TYCOON – Slow into stride. GREAT IAM – Became unbalanced and blundered shortly after the start. Race 4: OPEN Handicap 1100 metres Trainer T Parry was reprimanded pursuant to AR 194 for failing to present runners WICKED WIKI and LOUIE THE LEGEND into the enclosure by the prescribed time. CATO – Had to be steadied at the 200m off the heels of ZUMIKON which shifted in. ZUMIKON – Shifted in passing the 200m causing a tightening to CATO. Jockey T Hill was issued with a reprimand under AR 131(a). POSITIVE TENSION – Jumped awkwardly. LOUIE THE LEGEND – Slow into stride. Race 5: QTIS CLASS 2 Handicap 1200 metres FIELDS OF RED – Stewards permited J.Baker to ride +1kg over the alloted weight due to no other rider being available. REAL EMPRESS – Shifted out on jumping.
