Cummins GENERAL Stewards accepted the following rider overweights:Race 7. J.Baker +0.5kg Race 1: CITY COUNTRY REAL ESTATE CLASS 3 PLATE 1000M CUBAN AFFAIR – Hampered on jumping when DEVIL shifted in. Laid in under pressure in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. DEVIL – Shifted in on jumping, hampering CUBAN AFFAIR. SOOPAT – Inclined to lay in under pressure over the concluding stages. COUNT MICHELIN – Blundered on jumping. Race 2: CAVA HYDRAULICS BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 1000M ORCUS – Blundered shortly after the start. Hampered when PHILADELPHIA FREE shifted in. Hung out rounding the home turn. Upon returning to scale, apprentice L. Guernier reported that in her opinion, the gelding felt awkward in its action over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. PHILADELPHIA FREE – Shifted in on jumping hampering ORCUS. MAKUBA – Upon returning to scale, jockey T. Hill reported that MAKUBA was unable to settle in its normal racing position which is on speed, then preceded to resent kickback. MISS MIRACULOUS – In the vicinity of the 150m, improved onto the heels of RUSTY ROSE who was laying in, and as a result was obliged to alter course to the outside to gain clear running. RUSTY ROSE – Raced wide for the majority. Laid in under pressure in the straight. ARCING HARD – Raced wide for the majority. Race 3: MCRAE NEWS MAIDEN PLATE 1200M Prior to the running of this race, it was established that SUNVALLEY DREAMING had been saddled with the incorrect saddlecloth. Trainer J. Bawden was found guilty pursuant AR 227(a) in that he was negligent, by failing to collect the correct saddlecloth number. ADASHAN – Raced wide for the majority. Laid in throughout the event. GULF OF AQABA – Blundered on jumping. Raced wide for the majority. Laid in under pressure in the straight. KEY TO THE ZOU – Dipped on jumping. Laid in under pressure in the straight. REVVED UP READY – Raced greenly over the concluding stages. SUNVALLEY DREAMING – In the vicinity of the 1100m, shifted in under riding shortly. Laid in under pressure in the straight. TAROTCARD – Began awkwardly. DON'TSTOPLAUGHING – In the vicinity of the 1100m, had to be checked when SUNVALLEY DREAMING shifted in as LULLA’S ATTACK rolled out marginally. Apprentice T. Townsend the rider of SUNVALLEY DREAMING was severely reprimanded pursuant to AR 131(a) for allowing her mount to shift ground when insufficiently clear. Race 4: COLONIAL SHOPPING CENTRE RATINGS BAND 0 - 50 HANDICAP 1450M FAR REACHING – Began awkwardly. FIELDS OF RED – Jockey J. Baker was fined $200 pursuant to AR 131(c) for making a celebratory gesture prior to the winning post. ONTHETAKE – Raced wide for the middle stages. ALL AT SEA – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages. Race 5: TREVOR MORRIS BUILDERS BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1450M Before the running of race 5, apprentice S. Mccann was reminded of her conduct when in the stewards room pursuant to AR 228(c). LE FORCE – Shifted in shortly after the start and bumped with MOON OVER ALICE. Inclined to lay in over the concluding stages. SHIVKHANI – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages. VICTORY BAY (NZ) – Raced in restricted room over the concluding stages when LE FORCE laid in. METAL BAR – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages. DOOM – A post-race veterinary examination revealed an abrasion to the left nostril. MOON OVER ALICE – Bumped shortly after the start. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages. GOLDEN EIGHTY – Began awkwardly. GREAT BOULDER – After taking no competitive part in the event, trainer J. Bawden was advised the gelding’s nomination would be refused from TAB meetings until its form improves. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Race 6: CINEMA MOUNT ISA QTIS CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1200M The start of Race 6 was delayed 3 minutes owing to THECHAMP undergoing a veterinary exanimation and being passed fit to race. STAR MIDFIELDER – As the gelding had not raced for an extended period, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination, and was passed fit to start. Began awkwardly. Laid in under pressure in the straight and had to be steadied and straightened on several occasions by its rider. ROCKETORO – Trainer J. Manzelmann was fined $200 pursuant to AR106(1) for presenting ROCKETORO to the mounting yard with incorrect gear. Began awkwardly. THECHAMP – Underwent a pre-race veterinary inspection prior to the start and was passed fit to race. Inclined to lay in over the concluding stages. DAWN REBEL – Approaching the 600m, was restrained when awkwardly placed on the heels of SHESABOMB and shifted to the outside to gain clear running. Jockey J. Babarovich reported at scale that his mount resented the kickback in the early stages. Laid in under pressure in the straight. SHESABOMB – Shifted out on jumping. BONAUGURA – Resented kickback in the early stages. Laid in under pressure in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had bitten its lip. EXALTED – Stood flat footed and missed the start. Laid in under pressure in the straight. Trainer T. Parry was advised that a warning was placed on the gelding due to its barrier manners. Race 7: RCT MOUNT ISA QTIS CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1200M SHOOT BIG – Raced wide for the majority. Performed below market expectations. When questioned, jockey D. Ballard could offer no explanation for the performance of the gelding. Trainer D. Ballard reported that the gelding would now be spelled. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. OUR HEART THROB – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages. ARE WE GOOD – After taking no competitive part in the event, trainer K. Krogh advised that the gelding would now be retired. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. KARAKAROO – Bumped with SECRET QUALITY on jumping. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages. SECRET QUALITY – Bumped with KARAKAROO on jumping. Raced wide for the majority. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near fore leg. Trainer T. Parry was advised that SECRET QUALITY would require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again. SINGLE MALT – Resented the kickback in the early stages. CHILL OUT MISS – As the gelding had raced at Rockhampton on Saturday the 24th of October, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Severely blundered on jumping. KINGMATE – Raced wide for the majority. On returning to scale, jockey J. Baker was examined by QAS and cleared to ride. Race 8: SUNSET BUTCHERS LES HUDDY MEMORIAL BRACELET OPEN HANDICAP 1200M ANCIENT ECHOES – Began awkwardly. Resented kickback in the early stages. THERESABEARINTHERE – When questioned regarding the performance of his mount, jockey J. Baker stated that when asked for an effort, the gelding was disappointing and could offer no other explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. SPLASHER - Trainer T. Parry was fined $200 pursuant to AR106(1) for presenting SPLASHER to the mounting yard with incorrect gear. STAMPEDE WARRIOR – Raced wide for the majority. NOT ANOTHER REIBY – Raced wide for the majority. Laid in under pressure in the straight and had to be steadied and straightened on several occasions by its rider. LOUIE THE LEGEND - Trainer T.
